come on guys think positive we can do this together take comfort in the fact that we're all in this together and you're not alone. I hope and pray that we all hear something soon God know's we've waited long enough.

Vegreville received our application filled with hopes and dreams. Also, came along lots of nerves and worries. But I am so blessed to say that a year after we sent it off that I have been a PR for almost 2 months. This is a beautiful country with wonderful people. I can't thank Canada enough and the people that helped us to get to this point, because of them we live happily with no more worries of having to leave and can live happily together as we grow our future. So much in your life can change in a year and I am just so glad it was for the better. I guess I just want everyone to realize you aren't alone, that we are here for you and that at anytime your lives can change for the better.

Everyday, is a new day filled with hope and new beginning. I just want to say congrats to all those who, like me, have already gotten through this. Some with more struggles than others but we're all blessed with a wonderful gift and it was worth it as I am sure we can all agree. To all those still waiting, always remember that "love conquers all" and "good things come to those who wait". I hope that all of your waits are short and the processing is smooth. You will see through to happiness with your families. Stay strong. This is only temporary. And to those just getting started, we will be here to help you along the way. You aren't alone, we all started in the same place. Your happiness will come too.

I am just so grateful for where we are today. So grateful for all the help we received here and for the true friends I made along the way. You helped so much. I hope everyone receives such a wonderful gift like this as well. It is something to treasure. Thank you Canada for giving my hubby and I a home to make our own for good now. For that, we will always be blessed. Thank you.

P.S. Sorry for the random start of this thread but I just felt this was just the place that would understand our happiness. I hope it gives all those something to look forward to with their families as well. You can get through this.

FINALLY received correspondence from Buffalo. it's dated MAY 5, and requests the RPRF to be paid - which, of course, I already paid UPFRONT. so we're resending the receipt today.

also, the RPRF is "due" JULY 4. so hoping that doesn't cause additional problems. UGH.

I seriously can't believe it took them 2.5 months of lost/returned mail and several email exchanges to get that mailed to us. in those email exchanges, couldn't they have just ONCE mentioned that all they wanted was the lousy fee? we could have emailed the receipt then, and voila.

It's very frustrating isn't it, they are still saying we haven't paid ours but we have. It's totally demoralising, we have our meeting with hubby's MP this morning, but I'm not hopeful they can do much :'(

I hear you eletyl. When Mississauga screwed up our address (while having the correct one on file) when sending our entire application back because my husband missed a signature, it took us 2 months to receive it. We were just thankful our entire application was not lost in the mail and we did not have to start from scratch. But it did push us into the December group, and we all know how that goes...

Closing my ears, I didn't hear that Jeff.

A friend of mine, has a job she is holding for my husband.....but it won't wait forever. If only Buffalo could get a move on it! Our lives are on hold, and everyday we pray it's the day. We obsessively check emails, just in case..... He's meds will expire at the beginning of September and we are worried that our application won't be finalized before they expire.

It takes such a toll on us, emotionally, physically, financially and all the other ally's. LOL

Even though I met with the MP and they confirmed our file was to be reviewed last Tuesday, we are no further ahead. While it was good to get information at the time, we had hoped that Tuesday afternoon we would get an update, guess a little too optomistic.

Usually people have just emailed Buffalo, on their case specific enquiry email (buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca), and they have got their file number in response. You can do that too in order to get a file number !

emiled buffalo last night and asked them for an updated status report and confirmation that they received the fbi check, medicals and receipt showing we paid the fees. Hopefully this earns more then a copy paste response of 'your file is in process'

really getting frustrated with people recieving ppr after us (i'm happy for them) but annoyed with buffalo (and other consulates for the rest of you) some movement on our files would be nice! seems like they're just picking and choosing which files they want to work on

I guess its a normal human response to be a little upset when some people who come after you is served before you, but since we are all in this together lets put aside our sadness at not yet being farther along in the process and celebrate with those who have. We would all like to be in the 30% who are completed within 4 months but in the scheme of things that's a small amount.

Soon this process will be over and we will be celebrating when we are united with our love ones, so cheer up and spread some love around, it will keep away the frustration. I am sure some of the folks who were venting that have now landed are now frustrated at some other thing, in fact, some of them have not even come back to post and help us through our waiting. What has happened to Amaranth, Pharoh,Pinklady, and some of the others who were part of this thread that have landed

good to have you pinklady? what are your thoughts now that you have landed. please share your overall experience for some of us folks who are very frustrated with the process and uses this outlet to vent.
