Cool, Thanks!......Congrats MandP!

A word of advice due to my so far endless waiting for the passport to be returned... if you can, go down to london and deliver it yourself. Then you have the security of knowing you will get it back in your hand in 2 weeks time. Its a bit of a trip for you, but look for cheap train tickets!!
So pleased for you!! Was it email or letter?

Yay MandP! :) Congratulations! There's some of that good news we've been waiting for. :D

Soo... When are you/your partner landing, and how will you be celebrating? ;D

@ Pinklady - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your passport will show up soon!

Some of you guys are really lucky to have your PPR. Its not easy for some people including myself. My timeline is supposedly 21 months. >:(

Congratulations mandp! That is good news, I bet your girlfriend is so relieved. :)

Danny4450...it must be hard seeing some applications go through so quickly, knowing you face such a long wait. I can't imagine having to wait that long and I completely appreciate how lucky we are to have been processed so quickly. I hope that things move faster for you than the expected time line you mentioned. Good luck. :)

Thanks for all the support and hope in here. Got an email from VO saying that 'A visa has been issued and will be forwarded to the applicant shortly'... :)...

This finally brings an end to this so very stressful process.

Dont have words to express my feelings.....

Hi Forum Friends I saw an update on my Attorney's etrack today with a number for my spouse from the Buffalo office, can I assume that to be an acknowledgement of receipt? I cant log in with the number since there is no change in her ecas... The update on the Attorneys site says we received file #xxxxxxxxxxx from Buffalo for !!!!!

Hey!

Yes i believe that's your AOR !! You should still check with your attorney. But i am pretty sure that's your AOR ! I will update the Buffalo spreadsheet first thing in the morning :)

Not going to lie, the wait is starting to get to me now :(

Happy for those that are getting their PPRs and ready to land and hoping for a speedy process for those that are going to be waiting longer than my impatient self!

We still haven't got the AOR :( And there are 2 more in this group with me who are still waiting !

God knows what the Buffalo office is up to !

Yeah... I think we're all starting to feel the weight of the wait. (hehe No pun intended. :P)

It would be easier if we at least heard some news out of Buffalo to see where they are in the process. But they're super quiet lately.

Yes about that silence from Buffalo VO...
looks like there is an ongoing switch in their computer/network system (actually across most Canadian VO in the US)
I wonder when they will be done with this ...
Anyone has any update on this ?

Not sure. I do know (as someone else in this thread posted a bit ago) they have this posted on their website:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are installing a new computer system. As a result, applications submitted in March 2011 may take longer than usual to process. Our average processing times have been adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

However, none of our applications were submitted in March. :P So I have no idea. I wasn't able to find their "adjusted" processing times, either.

Well our applications were submited in december but reachef the VO in January
Next they stayed on hold for close to 2 months before some AOR were issued...
Now I may considered march as th month when processing should have started

I believe that By application submited in march they refer to any applications including tourist visas work authorizations etc... Those get directly submitted to the VO while our applications go through Mississauga first.
In short : for us submission in December for sponsorship approval is very close to submission in march to VO Buffalo for PR.... Just my 2 cents...

Looks like you were still able to get your IA though :)
