I can log into eCAS this morning as well. There's an update on the Sponsor's eCAS, and I can finally log into my own (the applicants). In Process as of March 7, 2011. :)

It seems like our timelines and activity are identical.

We got an eCas update this morning. My husband was about to login (applicant) for the first time today

"We started processing your application on March 7, 2011. "

So happy!

Congrats, Cindy! hehe I need to settle down and get all these updates recorded. :)

@ Karla & Fleeting - I'm totally with you both! I've been here in Canada with my husband for almost two years, and unable to work. I've been volunteering for the last 6 months or so but volunteering is not the same as working! I hate not being able to contribute to our little family financially, and although my husband is a sweetheart for never complaining, I secretly hate being so financially dependant. Here's to hoping we get through soon and are able to work!

We received our AOR from Buffalo by email today March 15th

We had sent some police certificate to Buffalo about a month ago using the file number provided by cic in Mississauga. Looks like the visa office has it's own files numbering... Hope they will still find those precious documents (FBI certificate takes 8 weeks if you are lucky...)

Congrats on the AOR, Romain! It's nice to hear from you. :) I'll update your information.

Soo... Hi guys. :) Happy Wednesday. How's everyone doing?

Too quite in here today!

Hey everyone,
just a quick question...is anyone from december still waiting to hear from buffalo about AOR?? i'm still waiting....:( do you guys think i should email buffalo soon to ask whats going on????

Hi Clarkie. :) I wouldn't panic yet. There are still 8/12 people from this thread going through the Buffalo office that have not received their AOR's. You should (all) be hearing something in the next week or two, though!

Hi Quakingaspen,
i'm sorry for panicking so much lol, this has just got me going crazy. thanks for helping me to try and stay sane though :) it is much appreciated! hopefully we are gonna hear something soon....ahhh. i;m wondering if maybe my application is going a little slower cuz its currently missing the FBI certificate?? we have it all ready to send in to buffalo but are just waiting for our AOR so we have a file number.

It's okay! You should have seen me right before it came. I was like this: :o All the time. Except when I was like this: :-\

Besides, this is the place for panicking. :) Everyone here understands what you're going through.

Everyone should hear soon. Can't wait for some more good news here!

Waiting for the our letter to hear if medical has been received, and "God willing" no documents required.

quakingaspen - if you get a letter, please post. As our timelines are so similiar, I love to hear any updates you get. I'll be sure to share updates as well.

Also has anyone here sent Ottawa a fax, to send their medicals to Buffalo?

I read in some other threads that some people did this to expediate their application, but I wouldn't want to jinx/interfere with their own internal process.

I'll post it here as soon as I hear anything. :) I'm expecting that next we should get the AOR with barcodes in the mail, or the Intial Assessment... or both. So, back to stalking the mailman.

I did not fax Ottawa to have them send on my medicals. I know that there are some people out there who suggest doing that, but I don't think it's at all necessary. It might speed up your process a little bit... or it might throw them off because it's something "unexpected" in your processing. Personally, I'll wait to see how it goes, and if I don't hear from them in a reasonable timeline I'll order the CAIPS notes and ask them to fax my medicals.

I just got today an eCas update on the Sponsor's Account stating application received on January 19th 2011.
I can actually also get the same info on the applicant's account.

Fron there, where can we except to get 'In Process' and 'Medicals received' etc.... ?

Looks like most of you got 'In Process' as soon as eCas was activated. I only got 'Application Received'... Anybody else experienced that as well ?

Hi Romain. :)

It's tough to tell you what to expect next. The Buffalo visa office is apparently in the process of moving over from an old computer system to a new one, so there are some things that are uncertain. For example, many of the Buffalo people in the February thread have already received their AOR's (as an update on eCAS saying their applications have been received), while many in December and January are still waiting.

I think generally speaking they are sending our AOR's out as they start to process our files. I received my AOR via e-mail on March 7. I was unable to log into eCAS until the 15th, and then my eCAS was activated and my sponsors was updated with the information that they had started processing my file on March 7.

So, at this point, maybe they're just scanning in the rest of December and January to get all the AOR's out? Or maybe you're In Process, but it won't be updated until Tuesday (when most eCAS updates happen). Some people's eCAS show that Medicals have been received, and some people's don't.

What you're expecting next is also uncertain. My personal thought is that they will probably send us a paper AOR with barcodes in case we need to send anything else in. Many people receive an "Initial Assessment." But... Some don't get either of those things, and the next thing they get is a PPR. :-\

CIC is very inconcisitant. My guess is that you are In Process - it just won't show until the bigger eCAS update on Tuesday.
