any advice......

I'm sorry, Rathika. I don't know anything about ODSP or if you're allowed to sponsor while you're receiving benefits from it. Perhaps that would be a better question to ask in the general forum. More people will be able to see it there.

So far we're about an applicant a day! That's great. I'm looking forward to more joining us. They still haven't updated the information regarding the Processing Times for Family Sponsorship. I'll keep you updated!

If there is anything in the list that needs to be changed or updated or added, please let me know!

Hello all,

We sent our application on Dec.6 and it showed as received in Mississauga by the DHL tracker on Dec. 10. We are currently in Switzerland but, we (myself and the three kids) move to Canada in January (except my husband who will be waiting to move until he receives approval, sadly). He will travel back and forth from Switzerland, due to business. Here is hoping for a speedy application.

Best of luck to all!

Olivia

Congrats on getting your application in. I'm sorry that you and your husband will be so far apart while it's being processed. Hopefully it's a quick approval! :)

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! Three more weeks and we should start hearing on the sponsorship part of the application. :D

Does anyone know how we will receive confirmation that they did indeed receive our application? By post or email? Or do we use our receipt number to check the online system?

I'm not positive, but I don't think they confirm that they have received your application. The confirmation most people get is from the postal service they sent the package with. They request a signiture on delivery, and then trace that.

Once they start processing your application you'll be able to check it in their system, but that should take about a month after you send it.

Hi guys. Just a quick update. The Processing Times: Family Sponsorship page has been updated. As of December 8, they were working on applications received on November 10. So it looks like a little less than a month for sponsorship decisions.

It seems CIC-M is speeding up but how fast are the VOs? I know they changed their information and only show the "80% processed in.." hope they are still faster on some applications.
I know I should be patient I only wait for a week now but I am happy that I am not alone and that there is lots of support in this forum. Thank you!

Etoile, you won`t be informed that your application was received by any ways, the only way to track it as you already did. You will see on e-cas once CPC-M will approve the sponsor and transfer your file to Paris. Unfortunately, there is not much of communication from CIC unless they want additional documents. Don`t worry if you see that they received it, everything is ok. For signing in to e-cas you need either your receipt number or your client-ID, which you know if you had a previous immigration document, like work permit. If not, use the receipt number with the sponsor`s name and birthday.
