So Torvic, did you request COPR via regular mail? Or are you in Aus? That's what the FedEx thing is for, I'm not sure I trust (Or want to wait 5 weeks) for regular post from Aus to Canada haha.

And thanks, left blank, awesome!

All I wrote in the bottom part was N/A. I emailed them this evening to make sure that that was okay, and they just emailed back to say my COPR was sent in the mail yesterday. Happy days.

Nah, I didn't. Thinking we should see it late this week at the earliest.

Congratulations! 72 day processing, that's crazy! Today is awesome because my ecas updated to decision made. Couldn't figure out courier so I went regular... Hopefully I'll be seeing a COPR sometime in March haha.

Holy crap, now I need to figure out flag-poling :-X Not expecting to do that 3 months in.

You're next Torvic!

Flag poling?.. Are you in Canada already? I've flag poled a ton of times over the years to activate work visas. You can literally park on the Canadian side, walk across to the us office, tell them you're flag poling and they'll give you something to say you did, then re-enter. They see it a lot! If you do it at peace arch in Vancouver don't underestimate how far that is between the border stations haha it's like a 15 min walk!

Yeah flag polling is easy. We've done that once with an IEC. Sounds like benji is currently in Canada – as are we. You are the odd one out, style!

Haha yes, I've been in Canada on IEC since 2010 but have a lot of friends in the states so I usually just plan trips around visa expiry dates etc. We live like 20 min from the Sumas crossing so I was just gonna go down there on my first day off with COPR. Hoping because it's a smaller crossing I won't encounter any problems. Would love to hear how you go then Torvic. And Thestylemaster you too! I guess I just go back to sitting an waiting for snail mail, the hardest part yet. As lame as it is, I remember wishing on every star, every eyelash an every 11:11 for a fast and easy processing and for once someone up there listened. I wanna send flowers and chocolate to everyone in the Sydney office... Now to acquire the hundreds of thousands of $ for this to be a possibility ::) Hahaha

Benjis, 20 Min from the Sumas crossing!?? Are you in Chilliwack? That's my fiance's home town. We cross that border all the time! hahahaha

COPR received today woohoo!!!!
Sent app beginning of November now just have to book flights and we are done.
So amazing :)

Very close! We live in the mountains of Mission! We've been here for 4 months now, before that we were in North Van which is where all my boyfriend's family is. Chilliwack is so open and free. Flat farms surrounded by huge mountains. That's where you always start to feel like you're on vacation when you leave the city hahaha.

Never been through Sumas, Pacific Arch tons though. It's a smaller crossing so maybe that just means a faster landing!
