I am one day behind you so hopefully mine gets here soon! I am so impatient.bagelbagel81 said:Congrats! Wow they really are moving fast now.
Chipits- no dramas! I think we have all been through the panic more than once! The worry is like a cycle - it goes away for a month or so and then seems to come back again. It's good to get reassurance from the forum
If it is addressed to the applicant (not the sponsor) then it will be stage 2. Also, stage one is from either CPC Miss or Ottawa with a note saying that it has been forwarded to the Sydney office, with details of how to contact Sydney, whereas stage two is from the Sydney office and won't really mention Miss or Ottawa.BCRain said:Hey all!!
So we finally got an e-mail...but I am not sure if it's stage 1 or 2 AOR. Looking at matthew_fitzy's post, it looks like it might be stage 2, but I don't want to get too far ahead of myself since we never heard anything about Stage 1.
It says:
Dear (sponsored person's name),
This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/08/21.
Thoughts??
Right onto it!marcopolocan said:Hmmmmmmmm
Has noone had any status changes on ECAS yet? I hope they have started working on the files but just haven't bothered to update as yet.

You can buy health insurance to cover you until OHIP kicks in (it isn't only Toronto, it is all of Ontario...and most other provinces have the same 3 month grace period even when moving from province to province). You have three options:AshB said:Hi Guys,
I need some advise. My wife and I are thinking of moving to Toronto in Feb end from Melbourne. We recently found out that my Mrs is pregnant. The baby is due in July. Now i understand the health insurance in Toronto takes 3 months to kick in. What should we do. Has anyone heard of any similar cases.
I have checked the private insurance companies here and most of them need return date for insurance. Please share your thoughts/experiences and give me some advise. Appreciate it. Cheers
