Got my AOR from Buffalo today!! Yay!
What's with all the labels with my file number on them? They sent me 6 of them!

congratulations with AOR! wow, why did they send you so many labels? for a keepsake maybe? ;) our AOR came just with number on the letter itself, though it was not from Buffalo. just curious now.

Not necessarily. Our sponsorship approval letter went to our lawyer, but everything after that (including the AOR) went straight to me.

it's really strange, as they in they forms ask about representative form. our friends had a lawyer as representative and all the paperwork from the visa office was coming to him till the very end. I cannot say for myself as we never hired a lawyer.

Planning to resend to Buffalo on Saturday. Joys after Sponsorship approval short lived:)

Now it says in process in e-cas status

I just got 1st stage approval from Mississauga :D and I am wondering about how long does it take for the application to reach the Embassy that will process it? Are we looking at days, weeks or months?

Also, I looked through the letter sent, and didn't see any instructions for things to be done. Is there anything I am to do upon receiving this letter?

You can best get that information by looking at the timelines of people using your visa office. There is a considerable difference among the offices.

Thanks for your answer Suin... one more thing... Now that the dossier is in the Embassy in Caracas, does my wife (the sponsored person) should have a Client ID to log into Ecas... If I log with my client ID it appears the decision made and next to it a PR status with "In process" telling that the Embassy in Caracas started processing her PR on dec.4. Is it possible that she would have a client ID and some other information would appear in her ecas?

Thanks for your help!!! And Good luck to everyone!!

Logging in under either one will give the exact same information for the PR application. There is no information that is visible under only one of them, so don't worry; you see it all. :)

Hi what is AOR?

Acknowledgement of Receipt, which you may or may not receive from the visa office you're applying through :)

Thanks! I was wondering for awhile what AOR was :)!

Anyone get an AOR from London (or other offices), I am pretty sure they don't send them, but at least a sign on ecas?

We keep checking and wonder if we will see anything, it's been a while since it was sent.

Ours had the decision made and application sent 5 days before yours on December 17th and we still can't see anything on eCAS or received any AOR.

Boo, I justwant to see in progress then I'll be happy :)
