Niiiiiiiiiiice!! Hope NYC will process ours soon!! My husband is coming to "visit" from Indiana this weekend and will hang out till PPR :)

Ugh...just realized I have my night class on Tuesday and I really cannot miss it....DOH! Guess we are going to Buffalo on Thursday...Why must their hours for this only be those two day?!?!?!?!

Just for informations sake, we paid our RPRF fee after filing, as we couldn't afford to pay all at once. I paid it online on August 20 (we filed in the beginning of July) and just today received confirmation that it was processed in Mississauga, so it took almost 6 weeks. They forwarded the payment information to our visa office in Sao Paulo.

I've been checking ecas daily since our sponsors application was approved in Mississauga purely out of habit and decided not to bother today.

Checked my email however and have got my PPR!!!!! :o :D

London have been processing my file since 8th September. The request is the PHEP letter or whatever it is and have given me the actual date when i must land by (June next year).

The wife (and I) are extremely happy and feel a weight of expectation has been lifted...

On Friday, I received a letter to pay the Right of permanent residence fee to Mississauga ($490) in the next 30 days

While, I am aware of this fee- I thought that this is something you paid after the decision was made? ( I guess not). Does everyone receive this letter, and I assume its a good sign?

I have not had a passport request yet.

Thanks

Does everyone receive this letter

We didn't, but we paid up front. I'm unsure if it's a good sign or not, but here's hoping it is!

Damn, just started reading about all of the threads about paying it up front. I think I may have delayed the process by not doing so before! :(

to cdagal and everyone that can help
my daughter and i are being sponsored.when paying the fees to mississauga my husband thought he didnt have to pay our daughter's Permanent residence fee as she is less than 5 years old.he realised later on that he maybe made a mistake so he paid online our daughter PRF.i would like to know if he has to send the receipt of payment with a letter to explain or he doesnt have to send the receipt and they will match the payment with is client ID.im worried than not paying our daughter PRF up front will delay process
PS :he was approved to sponsor us since august by mississauga and payment of our daughter's PRF was made mid-september.also CSQ were delivered.
please help.

sweetypie: when I paid my RPRF fee, I just forwarded a copy of the receipt to Mississauga, and a copy to our visa office in Sao Paulo as well. If you have not yet got a Immigration file number, make sure you identify it so they know which file to attach it to. (Applicant's name and date of birth, and the receipt number for the previous payment that you had made). Six weeks after I paid it online, they sent me a letter confirming that it had been processed. I don't think it will slow things down for you at this point, just when it is paid at the end after decision made it can add some time. :)

Hey all

Congrats to those who've gotten their PPRs!

Thought it would make me feel better seeing how quickly it can go but actually just making me more anxious to hear news of our application :(

I was sure I'd get stressed once time started to wear on but didn't expect to be worrying about it so early. I mean, I never expected to receive a passport request within 3 months of being transferred and yet now I'm somehow disappointed I haven't received anything after only a month.

Anyway, going on holiday for two weeks this month so hopefully that will get my mind off everything and maybe there'll be more news waiting for us when we get back.

I got my passport back with my visa in it on Friday. It looks so official :)
Let's hope for lots of PPR's this week.

wow! Congrats to you and all those who have had significant progress. I thought New Delhi was amongst the fastest centers but apparently Buffalo, London, Sydney etc have been processing a lot faster... Way to Go. Good luck to all still waiting.

I heard back from Buffalo, but it wasn't any sort of news, just the usual. We can't tell you anything, we will update your file if needed and contact you if more information is needed. Blech!
