Tokyo is much faster than Buffalo, you could have PR between 3- 7 months instead of 4 -10 months :D

I'm originally from Japan and staying in Canada w/o any visa. They said to be processed in Buffalo I must have valid visa for more than 1 year.

Thanks britincanada for good news! Now i feel better but hope I'll not have to fly back to japan for interview....

Sometimes its better to have PR Processed in your home country, Buffalo is not always a good option, I was told by CIC that I could be processed in Buffalo but I am glad I selected London as they are way faster and many people who's sponsor was approved before mine and selected Buffalo are only just in process and some still waiting!! :(

Whoo-Hoo, boys and girls--
Let's update the chart. I tracked my immigration status yesterday, and I am officially "in process"!!! They started on the file on August 20, 2010. So, now I am very grateful to be in the system.

Finally, an American from June gets to be added to the chart. Now, if everything goes at a "normal" rate I should have PR status by Christmas.

But, I am affirming an "abnormal" rate. How about six weeks? That sounds doable given that we are both 52, have no children, have plenty of assets, never been arrested, neither of us even drink. . . .Someone has to be the "early bird", so I am hopeful it is us!!!

But, I also visualize the day when we will all be off the forum and this will be a distant memory.

At the same time, I am deeply grateful for people like RobsLuv, AllisonVSC, and the matthew guy who designed the e-cas tracker. Where would we all be without their expertise and guidance. Oh, and Leon and PMM. Thanks to all the "masters"!

Okay, good luck, June Thread. We are moving once again! :p 8) :-* :)

Good news! So, last night, just before midnight, I was just saying "still no email from Sydney"..... then checked it.... email from Sydney. Hyperventilation time!

PDF letter with request for passport! Still in shock, will be sending it off today though I hate letting out of my hot sticky paws.

That's outland processing in less than a month folks - Sydney staff, we love you!

Congrats to everyone who is "in process"! I am finding it so so so hard to wait. It doesn't help that my hubby left today after a long 2 week visit. Long enough to get used to having him here!

I know I am lucky that we live fairly close and get to see each other at least once a month so I feel bad for whining but it is just so hard to come home to an empty house yet again :'(

I got the same PDF from London this morning, I checked my emails at 8:30am and went out shopping, when I got home I checked them again at 11am and found an email from London...my head started to swim..and its taken me an hour to take in the info!!!
