We are in Ontario...are we PR applicants eligible for medical (OHIP) as soon as the sponsorship has been approved? If so that's awesome! How do I go about applying for OHIP if you can give me advice. It will be wonderful if I can receive some medical care without worrying about insurance. I do have an insurance (BCBS) but it's back in the States (we are still paying for it dearly very expensive...ugh).

britincanada said:You mean government coverage for medical? As soon as the sponsor has been approved the applicant is eligible medical..although it might depend on which province you live in..I know its like that with OHIP..
