App. Filed.......: 18-02-2011
Sponsorship apvd.: 17-03-2011
File Transfer....: 17-03-2011 (Sydney)
File Received....: 25-03-2011 (Sydney)
AOR recieved.....: 04-04-2011 (Sydney)
File Transfer....: 13-05-2011 (New Delhi)
File in process..: 04-07-2011 (New Delhi)
PPR requested....: 25-08-2011 (Visa counter ND Office in Person)
Passport sent....: not yet
Decision Made....: not yet

may i ask what was the reason they put you on hold for 6 months?i mean PPR.
my havnt received ppr since may.
curious.
please share.

Who can forget you dude!!!??

Hope u r havin good tym with ur wife.... Yh also guy at the counter said "We were supposed to issue you PPR very soon" <<<<< bloody 6 months and they were still supposing....

This is the same $hit i had to go through, case is fU$king finalized but some dumb A$$ forgot to send the PPR..
Same issue, good news is you should get your PP within 2-3 weeks with a Visa..this seems to be a trend with forgotten cases

They didnt tell me exact reason but i think because i live in australia and PR there, it took longer to complete background check. Also they forgot to send me PPR according to the words of VO i spoke to!! He said ur case is at last stage and we are waiting for ur passport! I asked him if PPR has been sent out already or not?.. VO told me they were supposed to issue me PPR but havent done yet!! So he said he has marked on the system that passport is now requested and send it through mail which i sent through blue dart yesterday.. It ll be delivered today at 1000 am

my friend told me when address start vanished on ECAS that means they r ready to dispatch ur passport with visa....
let c now if is dis true or wat??

I told u its smthing tech thingi n i dont believe wht ur friend said bcoz mine vanished in july n after two weeks came back now 2 week b4 again vanished so i wud say dont worry abt it

Anybody has experience with getting information from cic through MP or by emailing immigration minister Jason Kenney..

Recently i have done both these things... I contacted my MP and asked him to contact CIC for application status.. I met him on Wednesday and he was saying he will be able to get information by next Friday or week after that.

I have also contacted immigration minister Jason Kenney office and they have replied that they will answer my query between 10-30 days..

i don't think there is any use of sending CSE or email...
no option other than waiting....

Yes, both offices will provide you an update.
They can not speed up any process and depends on what exactly you asked, how long your delay is.
Unless it is a substantial delay they will give you a simple update like..bc is in progress, file is pending blah blah blah.

My spouse has submitted her passport for more than 2 months.. I just wanted to know the status of the application. I am not even sure whether they have received her passport. Also, when i open my ecas it shows my Canadian address only and not my spouse's india address so i was wondering that's the reason for delay.

Yes, both offices will provide you an update.

dear frnds dnt worry about ur mailing address that comes in and out from your ECAS status dis is just technical issue so dnt worry..

Hope your spouse delivered the passport through secured mail ?

Mostly CHC ND never gives the acknowledgment for the passport when they receive/place in the file.

In which address your spouse received the PPR ? If I am not wrong than she received at her home address, if so than nothing to worry and more over I advice kindly login with her file number & UCI, so that you can find her address in the ecas status.

If you login through your UCI than you will be glancing your Canada address only.

Q) Tell me why this marriage or relationship is genuine?
A) Because we love each other, and that was the only thing on our mind when we got married. The fact that my husband/wife (depending on your situation) lives in Canada is secondary.

Q) What makes your relationship with your spouse different from that of a female/male friend?
A) It is not different. We are like any other married couple who wants to be together. But I am blessed to have a spouse who is my female/male friend too.

Q) If I refuse this application what will you do?
A) That will make us sad, but if worse comes to worse, my sponsor would happily shift to my country or we will work something out in such a way that we are together. But that would mean a lot of shifting base & jobs, so we would like to make use of our right to appeal. But, ultimately, us being together & starting a family is what matters.
