I think you are very close to visa approval, may be 2 to 3 days. Check e-cas update on saturday and it will be "decision made" for you.
It seems to me that they received your passport and forgot about it. This is normal for a lot of cases. I got decision made 6 days after sending a mail. They never replied to my e-mail. So, your CSE has waken them up and they will stamp it this week.

Good luck for your visa.

Cheers!!

I have emailed ND about the status of the application and also wanted to confirm if the passport has reached or not.... I have emailed ND on 7th June 2011... on 22nd i got the reply... just want to know ... now how it will work... approx. how many more days i will have to wait....just read the mail below.....

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

We acknowledge that our office has received original passport for this application.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, it generally takes several days following receipt to process passports and place them on file. The file is then directed to the attention of a processing team, where it may take several more days for a final review to take place to ensure all requirements have met for visa issuance.

This file is currently pending final review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as the review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants in case any further documentation or information is required. If the officer is satisfied all requirements have been met, visas will be issued, following which we will return the passports to the applicant by registered mail. Kindly note that it can take several days for registered mail to reach its destination.

Please be advised that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. We can assure you that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

I just got a call from MP office. Now a different story.

she was telling me ND sent a mail to us on 31st of march asking for additional documents and we never sent.

We didn't get any mails from ND after the passport request. I sent two CSE and they never replied. I don't know whats going on now..

This is BS...however we need to react..do you at least know what kind of extra documentation they asked you?
You need to send a CSE and send them what those idiots need right away..do it asap my friend as document request has a expiry date so please get touch with them ASAP.
These idiots never change or use EMAIL so we can receive it the next minute ....
same old ND...

Well, as per the process they should try to resend it after one week. Also, all un-delivered mails stay in the postoffice for 15 days before sent back to the sender. But can you really trust Indian Postal service adhering to process 100% of the time??

Passport with visa is an important document, why do you want to take the risk? Do you want to wait for more days? I would say drop by the post office after you see decision made just check. I know people in this forum have taken help of Gandhi to get their passport back in cases where no body is always at home to receive the parcel.

Cheers!!

as per highlighted below, my current new passport reached ND on 21st may and again they asked for my OLD expired passport on June 8 which was delivered to ND on 20th June. Does that means that they will again take time to place my old expired passport in file as they did with my new passport and send to processing team for final decision? will it take again that much time to place my old passport to file and send to processing team? (THIS IS THE CASE IN WHICH THEY WERE REVIEWEING THE CASE AND ASKED FOR FURTHER DOCUMENTATION I.E. MY OLD PASSPORT)

I know ... even i strongly feel i should receive the passport in a week or 2 but... my family is going to tirupati this tuesday and they will come back after a week on next tuesday.... thats why i am a bit worried... if it is the case that once i see "decision made" on eCAS and after that only i will be receiving the passport than i will arrange someone to be at home at any cost... its just in case that if i will receive the passport before the status has been changed to "decision made" then i will be in prob.

Hello Guys, I have been a sorta silent reader on this forum! I might have posted this before but I am in huge confusion.

My husband had already done his medicals when he misplaced his passport, hence he applied for a new one. It should be issued in about 3 weeks.

My question is, when I send the application, should I send the "medical form" that the DMP gave to us at that time or should he go ahead and get his medicals done again??

Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

And btw, Congratulations to everyone who got their visas recently!
