Hey fprince & experts on the forum

Looking at gaganmaan4u's speedy approval, it seems to me adding the spouse's name to you passport gives the visa officer sufficient proof that the marriage is genuine. Would you guys agree?? It's just a thought. May be we can add to the list of things to do for speedy approval.

Again, no body can derive any definite conclusion about the standards at CHC-New Delhi.

Hey FebPR,
It does show the officer something but i don't think that could be considered a main reason. I have seen so many ppl get their visa within 2 months in CHC ND who did not do the change.
It is more of the documentation, pictures, phone bills....more of how we paint the picture and above all depends on which IO is dealing with the file.
And if you notice CHC ND trend..in jan/feb they were issuing visa's faster and now its a bit delayed, this could be cos of the tons of students visa's they have to deal with...
The processing time should be very fast come June/July as visitor/student visa's would become very very less..

I don't see why a IO would consider a marriage genuine if the name is added to the passport and is not convinced when we have already submitted the marriage certificate...both are govt issued documents and should have the same weightage..and to add a name to the passport you do need the origional marriage certificate, hence the MC is the real deal ;D

But adding does not hurt, depends on your time frames..not a must but optional.

If there is an interview they usually call them within 1-2 months in delhi, they have not so far delayed interview applicants.
This has been the trend and they do seem to follow this as posted on their website.

I still don understand what the in process means, what they do here which they don't for app received status applicants.. :-[
In process sometimes seem to drag.............

Stay as long as you want as long as the visa has not expired. It expires one year from the date you have your medicals done. You must use the visa before this expiry date.

very slow in this thread latley..i am sure they where more updates this weekend
