Contacted them through CSE and no reply for the last 3 weeks.
A PPR can not take 4 months to reach me :P
Meeting them in person needs a VALID DELAY, and the usual answer they will give is " it has not been 6 months yet" and send you back home..i would have done this everyday if my wife was in ND..but going all the way from Chennai to Delhi and playing this gamble is kinda tricky at this time..my wife wants to wait until its into month 5 to go to ND...until then have to hope..it will come anyday.

I highly doubt that, also I remember reading the medical form which we fill and take it with us.. "name appears on passport" the check list... (country specif) not sure where.. but anyways.. you can take the certified copy of the passport with you, I did make sure my wife keeps a notorized copy of the passport with the stamps and what not, just incase.

If I'm not mistaken, your passport is with CHC. You need your passport to do medicals. You will need to wait for them to send it back to you and ask you to do medicals again.

hi all...

it's wednesday in india....new day with new hopes...lets hope that wednesday brings the good news/updates for people who are waiting to hear something from chc nd

all the best and good luck :)

I wouldn't rely on the eCAS at all, there is times it has given good news, and there is time it has yeild no results, ppl get their PPT back and it still says APP received.

Just hope they send you the passport back soon with the visa on it :)

and no worries they will receive the passport, did you send it through speed post?

fprince,
I agree with airforcerally. Something has happened with your file. To me it's highly unlikely that they will not send anything for a long time (Since Feb 15th), going by the way they are finalizing the cases over last few months. It seems they are waiting for something. Sometimes, the VO looses file from the sequence and some communication from the applicant triggers a review.

I would suggest to send a fax/mail.

You both are right..i am always under the impression that the letter was forgotten/Lost way back in Jan and some other VO could be waiting for my PP.
But my option is to wait for them to ask me again, either by mail or in person.
This is why i have been waiting....

Good catch, i forgot the PP 8)

I remember reading somewhere.. feeling too lazy to dig up, but it mentions... if you do not have your passport... use the name that appears on your passport? (ding!) (idea!) ????

was it on the country specific form I just can't recall..

Not in India...... won't do anything without a Passport

Another Tuesday with no updates :( ND has had the passport for 4 weeks now.....praying for some update on e-cas tmr.

@Cdngrl - The state is also missing in the address being displayed on our e-cas. I think this has to do with the length of the address..prolly only so many characters fit..either that or they simply did not type the state in...nothing to worry about. As long as the address is correct in your passport request letter then I would not worry. Hope you receive your passport with a visa soon.

Best wishes for all colleagues awaiting news from ND!!

can anyone tell me , do we have to calculate 6 months from sponsorship approval or from the date it was sent to CPC M......even i paid the RpRfee later when my husband got the letter......but i got a letter on 2nd feb from CPCM that they have received the fee......does that mean they have conveyed to ND......when i check the ecase....it still says...we started processing ur file on jan 13, 2011.......its almost 4 months since they have received the pp.....

I think it is 6 months from the day that CPC-M receives your file. I remember Panda posting a link about this several months ago. My understanding is that for spouse/children the 6 months commences from the day the file is received by CPC-M. In contrast, for other family sponsorship cases, the 6 months commences from the day the file is received in ND. If I am able to find the link I will post it later tonight. Maybe others can provide more input....if you recall such a post by Panda.
