Hope everyone is doing well. Not much information from New Delhi for our thread this week :(

Checked e-cas this afternoon with and now the applicant address is back. It had dissapeared for about a week and a half. Challenger or any one else, whose address had dissapeared, is it back now?

My wife's address is showing now as well :) Seeing it there for the first time since we got her File # last week.

Funny that they did a minor typo in her address in ecas...but in the PPR letter the address was all correct. So I guess the address there does not really mean anything.

We received PPR today from ND.. dated was 28th March 2011 but mail received today 29th April 2011.. it took whole 1 month in transit (what the heck).. It is a sheer coincidence that today itself we emailed / faxed to ND.. and after few hours we received this letter.

PS : It is note worthy that the postal transit taking longer time (1 month in our case) therefor those who haven't heard withing th expected time must contact ND via email/fax to informed that they haven't received it anything. So be very alert regarding mails as it is coming by ordinary mail.

Good Luck Everyone.

Hey Airforcerally, My file also reached New Delhi on 22nd March 2011. My spouse has heard nothing so far from New Delhi. Yesterday, I emailed them more documents call records etc. Just in case they need more proofs. I thought maybe we are waiting longer than usual anyways so let them have more stuff to review.

Hi CAT_2011..

We received PPR today just after sending email/fax to ND.. letter dated 28th March, it took whole 1 month in transit.. so keep eye on post mails.

You should be receiving in anytime soon. Good Luck.

Welcome to the forum :)

Normally people get a PPR in about a month, but as you probably have seen from the forum posts, there is no uniformity in anyone's case. Our PPR came in 2 months from ND receiving the file, and you will see fprince has been waiting for PPR since January.

I don't think you need to worry about your PPR just yet, it should be on it's way to you. All the best.

Thanks avibis

Just now received after whole month in Transit.. letter was dated 28th March 2011...

Can you share which city the applicant is in?

Congratulations airforcerally for the PPR!!!

One month is too long a time even for ordinary mail. They must have mailed the letter it long after it was typed.

@ FebPR : Letter was sent on 29th March 2011 from ND as there is a postal stamp date 29th March.. and Received stamp date on local post office date is 29th april.. so it was almost whole month in Transit.. Anyhow happy atlast we received it..

PS: I would suggest ppl keep eye / enquire postal office.. as it is oridnary mail (not registered) so there are chance of misplacement.

Welcome to our thread, I will add you to the list so we can track your application, and also u can see other applicants status too..

it has been over a month since ND received ur file, you should be receiving the PPR any day.....

you can do that, but you can also apply while you have PIO in hand, you will get discount for OCI because you already have PIO, not sure if you will be able to upgrade after expired, NOT sure, but I wouldn't want you paying them full $275USD for OCI.

Yup, that's what I will be doing when the PIO expires.

That is definately something new I've heard, are you a REP for your sponsor?
