So I sent a CSE and no response yet....
I called:
Mission Tel.: (91-11) 4178-2000
Immigration Tel.: (91-11) 4178-2050
and it is automated, stating that they do not do inquiries over the phone, you can only inquire by mail or fax.

So I guess I will fax an inquiry tomorrow...

But we need the letter for the interview, otherwise security won't let him in, and besides we don't even know the time of the interview or what he needs to bring.

The usual ND crap. I wonder how they can be like this!!! Anyway, yes do fax them right away and provide an email and ask that they email the details. Make sure it is done by the applicant and not the sponsor.

You can get an upgrade from PIO card to OCI, and it will only cost you so little...

OCI = Life Long, never expires (you can transfer to new passport / carry expired passport if you don't want to transfer)
PIO = only 15 Years Validity

DNT2003

Yup, that's what I will be doing when the PIO expires.

Yeah the time truely flies, and when you look at the time back... and you see how many years you have finished.. and sometimes you realize the mistakes / the decision you've made, and sometimes they weren't the best, but again at the end everything turns out well

Congrats to you for completing 13 years as well :)

So true man, so true.

Was checking flight tickets, wow this year the peak season seems to start from May..all the prices in Jet for may next week range from 60-75k....i wonder how much it is gonna be in June/July :-[

Yes, flight prices are really high this year and the soaring fuel prices are not helping either. I was playing around with the dates for July and it is starting in the $2400 range from Calgary for 1 round ticket for any decent flights where you don't have to have 3-4 connections or 40 hours travel time, etc. To put this into perspective, I paid $1500 for my trip late last year and $1350 the year before.

Nice forum...

My case : App Filed on 9th Feb 2010, Approved on 9th March 2010 and ND Received it on 22nd March..
Still waiting for PPR.. anyone with same time-line ?? and whats status ??

Appreciate and good luck

Welcome to the forum :)

Normally people get a PPR in about a month, but as you probably have seen from the forum posts, there is no uniformity in anyone's case. Our PPR came in 2 months from ND receiving the file, and you will see fprince has been waiting for PPR since January.

I don't think you need to worry about your PPR just yet, it should be on it's way to you. All the best.

Hey Airforcerally, My file also reached New Delhi on 22nd March 2011. My spouse has heard nothing so far from New Delhi. Yesterday, I emailed them more documents call records etc. Just in case they need more proofs. I thought maybe we are waiting longer than usual anyways so let them have more stuff to review.

Congrats on getting the first and only processing in Canada completed. Now comes the most dreaded part, LOL.

Hope everyone is doing well. Not much information from New Delhi for our thread this week :(

Checked e-cas this afternoon with and now the applicant address is back. It had dissapeared for about a week and a half. Challenger or any one else, whose address had dissapeared, is it back now?
