NEXUS is good, specially the dedicated lines, usually they are self check-out too, I;m sure the DL would have a security just like the e-passport which will be introduced soon, where it has to be HELD close to the reading device for the transmission of the info, plus they have lock bytes where only they can read it in certain way, machine must have a public key.. like some sort of encryption... yes EVERYTHING is hackable and no one can stop the hackers!

The other option is to get the Nexus card. That is good for Air travel to US as well, you won't need to carry your Passport if you have the Nexus card. I don't know if the enhanced DL allows for it to be used at Airports or not. I don't have the Nexus card as I don't travel to the US as often, but have seriously considered applying for it seeing I can zip through the dedicated Nexus line way faster, either going to the US or coming back to Canada from ANYWHERE. It costs $50 for 5 years and that way you are not radio chip enabling your DL and transmitting your info everywhere you go on your day to day life. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/menu-eng.html

Alberta does not have that option of an e-DL and does not intend to introduce it either. But personally, I would never get my DL radio chip enabled if I had the choice.

They used to have a very nice direct flight but got bankrupt, Canada 3000 ? something like that...

What dates did you book the flight for to be exact? and from where was it BOM to YYZ? I just did a quick search again for May 5th and got 936$ in Ethiad 21 TOTAL journey time.. about 2 hours hold in Abu Dhabi.

No one can figure out how ND works.. they are like the Bermuda Triangle!

I can't believe there are no direct YYZ <--> BOM flights. There's so much demand for it and it will save us so much time. There are direct flights to Iceland and Turkey from Toronto but not to Mumbai... ridiculous. Via Dubai/middle east is the next best option (in terms of time), but via europe is a waste of time... but what can we do!?

Prices for May 12th are better... but too bad our dates are earlier and there are no better prices. Anyway, my countdown has begun

I think ND deliberately tries to be random in their operations (i.e. applications transferred to ND at similar dates are not processed at the same time or the same way) so people cannot figure out their pattern or "way of doing things" and then try to fool the system (i.e. more fraud marriages).

Yeah the time truely flies, and when you look at the time back... and you see how many years you have finished.. and sometimes you realize the mistakes / the decision you've made, and sometimes they weren't the best, but again at the end everything turns out well

Yeah they are rising each day... it really sucks.... and I know I will be flying around June / July time.. I already am working towards saving $3000 just for the ticket costs! 1 return and 1 one for my wife one way... -- or I found a better combination: 1 one way all the way..... have to compare and figure out the best deal...

My case : App Filed on 9th Feb 2010, Approved on 9th March 2010 and ND Received it on 22nd March..
Still waiting for PPR.. anyone with same time-line ?? and whats status ??
