has it been confirmed by cpc m and chc nd staff that they have rcvd the hard copy of the file?

CPC Miss always will tell u we transferred the files, they won't even bring Ottawa in the pic.
There is no confirmation from ND, as you know..i have been in process since feb 15. No idea how it was in process when THEY accepted in march that they did not have a hard copy.
Their email said they can only issue a file number once they have the HC..and it is my understanding that they do have it now..as i have the file # and they updated her address last week in ecas..so i assume they do have it now..

that's a good news to hear that CHC ND updated ur wife's address and she is able to see this on e-cas....this means that they are now working on the file.....few more days buddy....and u will be done through this for sure :)

all the best and good luck

What a stupid process!! If the applicant is in Delhi, why would you send the letter to the lawyer in Toronto.

I am using a lawyer in Toronto and really pissed of with them. They told me that they submitted the file on 18th Feb 2011, but CIC-M got it on 24th Feb 2011. A package from Toronto to Mississauga takes 6 business days. I should have only verified the entire package from them. Giving them the communication part is not worth. It adds to the already lengthy process. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

i have a silly lawyer, after waiting for something in the post for days i got an email with the scanned copy of the letter which was addressed to the lawyer in Toronto! so am guessing any other communication will also be delayed just the same!

becuz I dont trust indian post for him to recieve it quickly.

:)

Hi Guys,

I got the landing fee receipt from my wife but its just showing the amount received and bank stamp on it, not even showing my wife's name. How do they know its for my payment?

Is this the reciept which we need to sent to CHC ND ?

Ben

Okay just checked ecas.

My spouse's address in no longer listed.

But, now in the box that says they received his application, there is another sentence saying that he has an interview on May 4, 2011.

I am not sure how they have notified him, so I will call tonight and see what info he has received.

Hopefully this is a start for everyone else!!

That certainly is a progress for your file. I hope your case gets done soon, you have been waiting long for a PPR.

There is a bar code on the receipt that will be matched...your wife would have written all the details on the back of the payment portion (name ..address.etc)and the copy she sent to CIC.

Let's hope they do email you. In fact, more than Indian post, you should worry if they decide to snail mail it to you in Canada, like it happened to annael2 where they sent it to the lawyer in Toronto.

I am my wife's representative as well and hoping they email it to me...if not, at least they post it to my wife in India. The last thing I want is them sending something to me by post to Canada.

Yes, it is this receipt that you will need to send to ND. However, you should write as much of your details on the receipt as possible so they can match the receipt with your case. It sounds like your wife made the payment in person at the bank, in which case, you can fill out the back side of the receipt which will have a spot for all the details.

Sneaky...interesting they are doing this more now, adding information without changing the status to "In Process" and they are also scheduling the interviews close. This was the case for drdave as well.

Congrats anyways on moving on to the next step and all the best for the interview.

Hey ppl,

I was wondering if i should ask my husband to send them a query, coz they really havent replied to either of mine. I dont know, if his sending the query would make much of a difference

thnx

I absolutely detest Canada Post. It took 10 days for my application to reach CPC Mississauga from Toronto with registered post!

Oh and lawyers are useless (unless case is too complicated) and can only lengthen a process.

I think Indian post is far more reliable and efficient.

@ avinis and deepiv

I also signed up as a representative.....

the fact is if u have hired a lawyer all papers will go to lawyer.....

but if u r a spouse and also a representative then the ppr will go to your spouse in india......

for my case ppr was send to my spouse in india.... I confirmed this with chc...as I was also worried as snail mail from india will take around a month to reach in canada..
