i certainly hope they are working on it... i am going to wait a couple of weeks before i start freaking out that something is wrong... by the way how do they notify u of an interview by letter? and whats the time frame for the schedule of the interview?? the reason i am asking is i am represented by a lawyer in canada and all communications are routed there... i just hope by the time i receive something it isn't too late for me to prepare.... it took a little over 20 days for me to even receive my PPR letter...

I don't think you need to freak out. They requested your PPR a few weeks ago, they are working on your file.

My file transfer to ND was on the exact same date as yours and I don`t even have a PPR or anything else yet. Heck, I don`t even know if my file has reahed ND for sure as apparently the files are all scanned in Ottawa now.

I am learning, through this process, that patience is key and unless you are one of the few lucky ones, you will need it a lot when dealing with ND.

@ fprince

No file number yet dude. I even tried calling the CIC Call Centre a couple times last week to find out that information like someone had posted in this forum, but didn't get anything out of them - apparently they don't have access to CAIPS which is where the file number is assigned.

Just sharing my friends timeline who got approved today..

Applied : 7 Feb, 2011
File trasfered to ND : 25 FEB, 2011
PPR : 23 March, 2011
Decision Made : 18 Apr, 2011
Waiting for passport with Visa..

I did the same thing as well, CIC Miss won't reveal any details about your file once it has left them.
The only ppl who can give you a file number now is CHC ND..and if one was created.
Since it has been 2 months in Delhi, don make the same mistake as i did and keep waiting and waiting..
Send them a CSE and they might at least send you a file #, but in my case i did learn that the file was sitting in Ottawa for 2 and a half months and hence ND could not assign me a file #
all the best

CPC Miss approved - Dec 24
My file was showing file received in ND from Jan 15th, ecas said File transfer Jan 4th.
Yes it showed all crazy $*censored word* and in process from Feb 15th..
apparently they never got the hard copies until the last week of march...which was the unlucky scenario i had to deal with as it only takes 1-2 weeks for the diplomatic post to arrive in CHC ND from Ottawa.

Thanks fprince.

Yeah, I wonder if the person who got a hold of the file number from call centre had a new agent or something.

I actually just got my wife to send in a CSE as they never responded to the CSE I had sent earlier as Sponsor. Hopefully, they will answer her enquiry.

BTW...did they actually tell you your file was sitting in Ottawa? I mean a Govt. Department owning up to their mistake? ;)

They did not, but my MP said this is what should have happened.
Cos the email from ND to MP on March 20 something said..we still dont have the HARD COPY and we need that to create a file number..
that's when i learn't abt this new delay which is very rare..
Yes they will reply to you wife..give them around 2 weeks to reply and replies are not guaranteed, in most cases if they see a delay as per their standards they won't reply..mine was 3.5 months in delhi when emailed and hence got the reply..otherwise you get a crappy standard reply.
