@fprince and @charmz

The one thing I did notice once you get a PPR the whole process will be finished in 2-3 weeks.
Once you guys get it, it will be over very soon. It should be coming soon.

COOLANANDA ( MYSELF) ;D.............. today 63 days

Challenger today 62 days

Lama 21 today 62 days

Def col male today 82 days

82 days for me today and no PPR yet (or anything else for that matter), e-CAS still stuck with "application received". No idea what the hell is going on. ND hasn't responded back to the email I sent on Apr 1. Sent off my request for CAIPS notes today, at least I will have something in my hands in 4-5 weeks that might provide some clue...should come in handy if nothing changes in my file by then.

I've been waiting 50 days now, since Feb 22,2011.

No call for an interview, it could all be over in about 30 days.
Get called for an interview -- crap -- its going to take a little longer.

Praying for a visa in the next 30 days.

But it starting to feel like Christmas, it just around the corner.
It could be anyday, so I'm check 3-4 times a day on ecas.

Realistically --> average 69 days, so 2-3 more weeks.

AND for our dearest buddy

FPRINCE it is today .................. 141 days

@fprince

I think you should really order the CAIPS notes buddy. They take 5-6 weeks to send it so at least you will have something in that time if nothing else changes. If you do it yourself, it costs $5 plus the postage to send your request.

If you haven't already browsed this thread, there is more info here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/where-do-i-get-caips-notes-t11124.0.html

Wish you and everyone else who applied in 2010 speedy processing by ND.

As far as i know no rules, as a new PR you may bring any amount...no big deal.

The major difference is..as a
FSW - you are required to show the IO you have at least $10,000 in your bank for living and survival in canada ( not a hard rule, but i asked the border official when i landed and she said..she can deny me based on bank balance but that is not that common, but is in their rule book )

as a sponsored spouse - you can land with $0 or $1 MM..there are no restrictions as long as its not CASH above 10,000$ which needs to be just declared.
The sponsor ( us ) already signed an agreement with the immigration minister stating " we are responsible for 3 years from the date of landing "..which in other words says my wife does not need a single penny when she lands and i am responsible for expenses in canada.
