@ nb8285

Yeah!!! Somebody else who can do stats.

I'm in love!

In my list of 34 people the average was

58 +- 7 days from PPR to Decision Made.

2 standard deviations would include nb8285's results.

Most of these people started there process in early 2010.

To all,

this saying will help to put things in perspective: "there are lies, damn lies, and statistics!"

i don't think that will work.
They have a red flag and they reject TRV's in such case.

Our application was also rejected for TRV, even though we included the sponsorship approval letter.

Agreed. For a VO to give you a TRV the applicant would need to prove that she/he will leave Canada within 6 months and come back to india as they have ties there.
If the hubby is in Canada why would a wife return back to India after 6 months. I wouldn't call this a red flag but usually these applications would be declined as they know the outcome of extension of TRV once in Canada. I have seen and heard so many cases which has been rejected before...but having said that nothing is impossible with CHC ND..it all depends on your LUCK.
Maybe she will get a TRV to visit niagara falls without the spouse in the picture..it all depends, but once you say you are the hubby and PR is in process, its very very difficult to get one.

I think a better way might be to apply for TRV FIRST (takes 2 weeks or less) and then apply to sponsor. You might have a better chance that way.

Ya you can try but its more likely a spouse will be refused TRV. They usually assume there is a risk of them returning to the home country if they dont get their PR.

what was the reason did the VO gave for the rejection of TRV and where did you apply ????

Chandigarh.

VO not convinced that spouse will come back.

@FPrince.

Keep ur head up, you have definetely put some pressure by involving an MP. I really think within 2 weeks you'll hear something.

I heard from Lawyers that if I dont apply for PR and apply for TRV then VO will ask why are u going for TRV when u will get a PR ... and while you apply for PR and then for TRV there is a possibility that you would come out of Canada to activate your PR anyway !!!

And what do you say in the TRV forms you fill ..."where do your family members live? hubby"
You will say CANADA ...flag !

He is right and wrong from what i know. You have a possibility but your wife does not need to return back to India to activate PR..say for example you get your TVR and she is here and your PR is done in 4 months..you can cross the border here and activate your PR.
First of all..when were you married? have you applied for sponsorship? need those details..cos you can't prolong your sponsorship to apply for TVR..in the TVR you will will have to state that hubby is in Canada..which is a big FLAG..cos the direct option is immigration.
just my feedback, i still think its luck finally which prevails.

HI FPRINCE

My friend..... your application date is nov 22 ......so you will get ppr by april 22 and then it will take another 2 weeks for them to send passport back to you..........

I spoke to three people from chennai all had to wait for 5 months and then they received ppr.so dont worry you are almost there...........only reason is background check ...............no other crap ............

they will have to give visa no choice for them .............. and you will be happy like these D ;D ;D ;D
