Is your status app received or in process?
Usually i see ppl getting PPR within 2 months and you still have a few weeks.
Have you got your file # yet?

@ drdave,

On here there is more than 10% who had interviews and of them 90% were due to a previois marriage. Your numbers are skewed because you can only track the cases where ppl openly admitted to an interview and trust me most havent. Ive gotten many PMs from members who are going, some have not admitted it on the forum and some are from members who are not posting but rather ghost watching the forum.

Id be prepared for a potential interview. If you are just granted without than perfect.

I agree. This survey is no way scientific and could be highly suspect. I am happy about one thing it does agree with what I saw
on the CIC website before they changed it.

Now they claim that 80% of the applications are done in 6 months.

Before they stated something like
20% in 2 months
50% in 3 months
80% in 6 months

This is what I found

Time # of people Percentage
< 50 days 1 1 2.94% 2.94%
51-65 days 8 9 23.53% 26.47%
66-80 days 7 16 20.59% 47.06%
81-95 days 4 20 11.76% 58.82%
96-110 days 4 24 11.76% 70.59%
111-125 days 3 27 8.82% 79.41%
126-140 days 2 29 5.88% 85.29%
141-155 days 1 30 2.94% 88.24%
156-170 days 1 31 2.94% 91.18%
171-185 days 2 33 5.88% 97.06%
>185 days 1 34 2.94% 100.00%

This is from the day of sponsor approval or file transfer.

Ive called ND about this, they actually strive for cases to be completed in 4 months, but its an unpublished commitment. Yes you are right, they commit to 6 months in straight forward cases. But do admit it takes less time for them if there is no file issues. I had one of the cases that had nearly every red flag you could think of, and technically it took 118days if you count the 30th March as completion date (as thats when IO said she was approving app). So its really hit miss with this VO.

Seems to be clear not all applications are treated the same.
Some have lesser checks and others are facing heavy scrutiny.

Is it the VO or the situation don't know.

@nylalisa

I wouldn't be surprised if they call my wife for an interview,
because she had a divorce in the last 2 years. They were
together for 21 days, then she was abandoned and he went
back to Germany. This was 5 years ago, but the divorce wasn't
granted until 2008.

Your comment is a good to hear. It kind of verifies my table. Because my table shows that 80% of all cases are done in 4 months, which is what you said.

Arghhhhhh....Screw ND.......can't they afford to sent us via register mail..........oh god its ridiculous, I mean common if we didn't recieve the mail they sent us, is that too our fault.........I mean 4 @ least immigrant purpose they can esp for PPR and Final Decision letters which are the main ones. I am fed up of waiting................. ::) >:( :(..............my PPR is still not here :( !!

I personally am not happy with 6mth thingy, agree they need to do alot of stuff b4 making decision but they should take max 3-4mths not more then that.

@ Fprince: have u heard anything back and any progress in ur file or ur e-cas?????

@lama21

It looks like at least from my table they do get 80% of the people done in 4 months.
I do feel sorry for those that take longer, because its a long time be apart.

75% of the people seem to get their ppr request about 20-40 days after sponsor
approval. Average of 29 days for these people.

Earliest Apr 11, 2011
Latest May 1, 2011

If you get it before Apr 11, 2011 you are lucky.

DrDave

@FPrince,

Who are you referring to that had an interview and they didn't take their passport. That is highly unusual... they normally ask for the passport before hand or ask for it at the interview because the interview is normally the last stage of processing if you have required one.

@ DrDave,

Your numbers are right with regard to PPR, they usually request it within the first month of transfer, after their initial assesment is complete. There are a few that havent had PPRs in this time which again, weird but its ND

My bad, i saw lama's post and thought it was you writing..am sorry..ignore that post.

@ FPrince,

Hahaha, np. You had me seriously worried for that person, cuz I was thinking there was no way the interview was successful. They either take your ppt if they havent already, so they can stamp it, or if you were insuccessful they give it back to you right away and tell you , you will get a rejection letter in the mail.
