thanks for the info. Did your status change from "In process" to "Decision made" or from "App received" to "Decision made"? Also, when did your status change from "App received" to "In process"? Was it after you sent additional docs? If so, how many days after you sent additional docs your status changed from "App received" to "In process" and how many days it took from "In process" to "Decison made"? Sorry for asking so many questions...I appreciate your help....Thanks

Actually, we got married on August 23, 2010, and my husband has to leave to canada as he has to join his job on September 1, 2010.. As he was in India for only 10 days, we dont have any outing pictures....

So, in the documents they have asked for proof of communications and outing pictures...So, we send out the phone bills and skype chat messages and calls which we had after marriage...

Do you really think it can change from "App received" to "Decision made" in two days? I'll take it if it does but I never heard some one had same experience : If it really happens, you are cordially invited in the reception I'm planning when my wife arrives..

i hopping to go to bed with wife calling she got her PPR.....hopefully is reality and not wishfull dreaming

i don't get why some people get PPR fast, and other people takes forever....

wish there was a guideline.....

Anyone get a PPR in march?


I hopping the PPR goes to her, and not lawyer in canada. She would need that PPR letter to send her passport regardless..

Oh Geesh, I just realized I made a stupid ass mistake in booking my ticket. I was thinking that when my husband gets approved for his visa, if by chance we got it the same day he could come home with me on the 1st April. Just realized that wont be possible now because in trying to save money, I booked my flight through the US, and holders of an Indian passport need a stupid ass transit visa. ARGH!!! Which means, we cant travel home together even in the slightest chance he got the visa issued same day.

what airlines you flying..i leaving for india from calgary via american airlines which goes though chicago.

Im leaving from Ottawa through Newark to Delhi and same way back to Canada. I didn't even think about transit visa cause alot of countries dont care if you have your travel tickets showing you are going ryt on.

Thanks for the Invite man...It is quite possible.. Its not just 2 days.. It is from the day the application was received.. Most off them skip the "in process" step..You will get it this weekend.. keep ur fingers crossed... and where is the reception??

Update: We expect the embassy to receive the passport with visa in it back today (as per post office), however, we dont know when they'll (embassy) contact us about it. Certainly not today because they'd just be receiving it...maybe middle of next wk. i hope they contact us asap. I think it was 2 days ago we contacted them but no replies back yet. We gave them heads up that passport has been returned to their office. Im upset that they havent contacted us in these 2 days. Even if its a simple reply they will look into it and call us later. I am thinking of contacting my MP so he could ensure we get it back quickly..maybe him looking into it will expediate the process of us getting it back quicker. i dont want to wait 1 mth to receive it back! What a mess!!!
