Congratulations to Panda and Goodnews.

I am happy to see that Panda's process went quickly as Panda's posts have been very inspirational and motivational to those who are undergoing the process and those who are preparing their package to begin the process.

Could you guys provide some insight in the process that takes place:

1) Does CIC-M send a decision on the sponsorship to the Sponsor, Applicant or Both?

2) Once the file gets transferred to the Visa Office from CIC-M, does the Visa Office send a letter of acknowledgement to the Applicant, Sponsor or Both? Is this letter sent as an e-letter via email or by snail mail?

Answer: CIC-M will send a acknowledgement just to the Sponsor in Canada.

2) Once the file gets transferred to the Visa Office from CIC-M, does the Visa Office send a letter of acknowledgement to the Applicant, Sponsor or Both? Is this letter sent as an e-letter via email or by snail mail?

Answer: No acknowledgement is sent by the Visa Office in new delhi, they will usually send PPR letter through snail mail orask for more documents or send letter for interview.

Keep checking ECAS for updates

Panda and others.......If, no acknowledgement is sent by the visa office........how are you and other members updating dates with respect to your status where u have updated the dates on when your file transfer occured or when AOR was received?

Mine is still not "In process" but I got PPR!

Is the Passport Req date that you have23-02-2011 is it the date you received the request by mail or is it the date on the PPR letter ?

Have you sent your passport and have they received it ?

Congrats once again, Can you please let me know how was your passport sent back to you : Was it Speedpost ? or just registered Post ?

And how long does it took for passport to reach you from the stamped date on the Postal envelope

Sorry for the late response, Visa was delivered by registered Post. well Visa was stamped on March 02 and posted on Mar 04.
i received on Mar 07. Ecas was updated on March 06.
Don't worry you will be receive urs for sure today.

Acknowledgement date is the date when you receive a letter from CIC-Mississauga for sponsorship approval
File Transfer Date is the date when your sponsorship gets approved - it will say on the letter and on ECAS
Medical Date: When Medicals when done,you should know that
PPR Date is when you receive the PPR letter from New Delhi
