ND does all crazy things, but congrats man.
Did they verify anything or did they just ask her to send the PP.
I am wondering how can they request a passport without a file number as usually they issue the file number in the PPR unless your wife already has a file number through a letter..can you share more details, cos if this is a new trend cos of postal delays i can prepare my wife to watch out for a phone call.

The CHC called her cell phone first but she missed the call. They then called her house phone. They only confirmed if she was the applicant and asked her to sent her passport by registered mail. Just for your reference my wife lives in Bombay.

We have an application number which we had received with the letter in November requesting pictures of the wedding and post wedding outing. My wife referenced that application number in the cover letter she sent along. Not sure if this is relevant but we had opened a case specific inquiry about 2 weeks ago asking them if they received our pictures and if there was any update on the visa.

I'm sure you will get a letter or call from the VO any day now. We both seem to be in the same boat.

She got call from right number.
She should have told him/her that you sent them passport already, giving them tracking details showing that its delivered at CHC on what date.

This is normal , coz they receive huge numbers of mails daily, and it take several days (10 - 15 days) to reach VO desk.

No Need to worry now, the VO who called you now knows that you had sent it already, now he will find out her PP from mail section.

Best of Luck Guys,

take care

She sent the passport after she received the call. That's the strange part. We never received any letter requesting for the passport, only the call.

Thats Absolutely fine kenny4.

You are right , they must have mentioned application number on the first correspondence with you.
As me too first got letter for sending additional documents and the later on got PPR with same application number.

So keep on tracking the PP, when it got delivered, you may notify them by another CSI.

Dont worry.

Gud news is coming soon for you..Okay :)

Thanks sahi_09. Does your status on ECAS show any indication of the PPR or does it still say IN PROCESS?

The phone call actually worked in your favour as it cut down another 15 days for the letter to get to you...Kenny, did they mention anything abt interview when they called your wife? did they say it was waived etc etc

In my case i can't get a call as i don't even have a file number, so i might have to wait for the PPR..

Yaar, i got two PPRs in december dated 14th and 17th....now i guess, one PPR was supposed to be for ur case instead :D
As we both were applicants around same time :)

My ECAS still says in process since 10 feb 2011.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy she got the call. But I was just a little concerned because I've never heard of anyone getting a call instead of a letter. I talked to my wife and she said there was no mention of any interview or even it being waived for that matter. The last thing we need now is an interview as well. Been waiting since October 2010.

Hi Folks;

Just wondering that does in ECAS there is address of the Sponsored SPOUSE ( means the address of India ) some where ? If it is then where is the address located ?

I can see my ( Sponsor ) address in ECAS but not the Sponsored Spouse's address ( India address ) , is that the case with everybody ?

Thanks
Panda
