I guess our best bet should be not to worry for ECAS just want to have a postman at our doorsteps delivering the passport, even if the ecas doesnt change whole life we dnt care.

Thats also very true applied03. Noone can question them :( If oly there is some1 who could tell us why we had such a delay in issuing PPR itself.. may be they have some quota that they shud issue oly these many visas in a yr... and thats why they delayed in opening our files itself :( but its not our fault to apply in sep :( its not even yr end.. we dint apply in dec.

Thanks guys :) I updated my Profile with the Application Timeline (Hope it shows up or I will try to post again). Hope things move faster for all the others and people start getting ppts back quick.

Special thx to Adihanda for compiling all the information.

HELLO everybody
hey congratulation waiting4u
hope atleast u shud get visa ASAP

Congratulations Waiting4u, We need ND to work like this through out the first quarter of this year as they need to issue more Spouse Visas for the year 2011 as per the immigration plan for 2011 so I am hoping they have been given the deadlines to finalize a number of applications in the first quarter of 2011.
Good luck to all and hoping for the best for all the sponsors waiting for their spouses and spouses themselves 8)

Cheers Panda

That would be great Panda. Lets hope!!! My app was just sent to ND on Jan 4th. Where could i look up this info about immigration plan for 2011 ...would it be on the canada citizenship & immigration website.

Hello waiting4u..
Are you in India or in Canada? When was the PPR letter issued?

Thanks

The immmigration plan is found on the website but the only one I know off said they plan to admit approx 240,000 new immigrants this year but they plan an increase on those from economic class. It doesnt say that a specific number would be from family class. So remember its across sll classes and amongst all the offices. If theres a different release Im not aware of I would love to know. :) Thanks!!!

If u read the immigration plan 2011 it states higher increase rate in the spouse visas

“Canada’s post-recession economy demands a high level of legal immigration to keep our work force strong,” he said. “At the same time, we are maintaining our commitment to family reunification and refugees.”

Highlights of the 2011 immigration plan include a higher range of admissions for spouses and children in the family category.

Looks like Bhupinder and Waiting4u have the same dates for applying and the file transfer, Waiting4u received the PPR letter on January 10, 2011 , Bhupinder let us know when you receive your PPR letter so that we can check if ND is keeping it same for everyone ?

Thanks
Panda

Thank u guys! The immigration plan is positive!
