hey there I can feel your pain as I am in the same boat my wifes processing began on the 16th sep still no ppr so yeah I have no clue myself whts going on mine is also a simple case and its really getting to me as well

Dont worry, it usualy takes atleast a month from the time the file is transferred before you get a PPR. Then you have delays in mail. It will be send by regular post. So your still in the normal time frame. You also have to take into account there could be a back log too.

I wonder if has anything to do if the mrg was a love mrg or an arranged?
also, i used immigration consultant,so again not sure if that could be a factor.. coz one thing I can gather is that since ND issues PPR so early for most ppl.. so clearly they havn't reviwed those files before issuing PPR,so wondering what things they look before they issue PPR

What does your immigration consultant have to say about it ? I asked a consultant friend of mine and he pretty much told me its hard to tell he has seen cases with absolutely no interviews but the ppr ranged from 7 days to sometimes 4 months which can be frustrating but he did say sometimes it works in your favour if the ppr is taking long , all depends on the vo , backlog, according to him there is really no set rule that nd has to do a ppr right away .

Hi Minku,
What's CAIPS? Thanks

Hey there!

CAIPS - Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System...what this means...its basically the system used abroad by CIC to process application (in Canada is FOSS). Simply put, it's your application screen shots, data entered by the IO in NEW Delhi...INCLUDING the notes he/she has made.

Its extremely useful if you are being asked for an interview...the IO will mention in his CAIPS notes why he is asking you for an interview, and note any key detail about your application.

Also, it may give you an insight into why your app is being delayed (if any additional checks are being requested).

Under the privacy lasw you are entitled to that information....google or search this forum for this info...if you still have questions, please let me know!

Thx!

Minku,

Looks like u ve sent ur ppt on july end itself. Any idea why u ve not received ur ppt even after 2 and half months? Did u email them to find the info?

Hey!

Yup, it's been 2.5 months now since they have my PP. I did email them (to no avail) and got a different answer every time...final review/initial review/BC checks are going on...I am guessing that they are verifying my BC in Canada as I was there for over 8 years.

We ordered CAIPS which should be arriving this week, and hopefully they would shed some light on whats going on!

ok good. Hopefully it l help us in knowing why its getting delayed.

Hi Could anybody share the mail id which we can mail CHC -ND for application status.
