Hi everyone,

Quick question. I think that we will have to go through the interview process (much to our dismay!). Does anyone know if you HAVE to travel to Delhi for the interview or are there other options. My other half lives in Bangalore and I'm wondering if he has to go all the way to Delhi? Has anyone else come across other options?

Also, has anyone that has been through the interview process walked out with the Visa? I am really worried that this will delay things and make Christmas together impossible :(

Thanks for your feedback.

My husband lived in Nagpur and had to travel to delhi for interview. I have heard some can know if they are getting the visa or not, but I dont think they get the visa that day. Aleast I have not heard of any that have anyways.

Thanks boyee6576. Guess I should prepare him for a road trip! We had hoped that there wouldn't be a need for an interview but that was obviously being overly optomistic!

Did you get a letter requesting an interview?

We haven't received it yet. I had my MPs office look into where we were in the queue. It is strange that they replied back saying it was in the queue for an interview and we received a letter asking for additional information on my divorce. So not sure when that letter will come. To be honest the reply was a little confusing as they replied on Sept 29th to and enquiry made on Sept 30th. Last time I checked India was ahead of Canada by 12 hours! ???

So perhaps when they get the documents all will be clear and they will see reason.... :P I know that isn't likely either.....

One more question - if I may.....

Has anyone with a start date for processing in Delhi of Sept 3, 2010 or later received a letter with a interview date?

Just trying to figure out where we are in the queue to receive the letter. We are desperate to have a christmas together and was sure this was going to be one. So are trying to figure out if it is at all possible.

Thanks!

H

I was wondering does it really matter I am pretty sure they are just random numbers generated , mine begins with a R

Hi All i applied under ainp family stream, got an interview call on 18th oct...i guess they ask for an interview if you had a refusal in the past or divorce cases,

hello all,

One question, Will they ask for any additional docs, after the PPR? Or is it always either before PPR or at the time of it?

From what I have read so far more than likely not , If they ask for any additional documents they do that along with the pp request . But anything is possible, but more than likely not, they can still call for an interview though and hopefully thats not the case.

I agree! But this process is so random & unpredictable! Hopefully we'll cruise through it!

vish - Thats correct! we simply printed out emails and enclosed it with the our app. package. Good Luck.

We were asked for additional docs after the PPR. And then the letter sent to my MP said that we were in the interview queue and didn't even mention the request for additional docs. So unpredicatable is the word for this process! Now we just want an update on the Ecas to really know what is going on......
