Does anyone know if the e-cas status is changed once a week even after the file has reached New Delhi? as when I log-in it says this is updated usually on Tuesdays??

Does the CHC-ND update the status, or do they send it to Canada for them to change the status?

Sometimes it changes, sometimes it stays the same... I have waited 4 months after they received the passport to finally see the status change to "In Process". And some people never get their status change.

How long does it on an average from the status to change from In Process to Decision Made and eventually get passport back , my passport has been with New Delhi from Past 4 months and the status changed to In Process from Application received only yesterday 18th June , really hope I get it before July 3rd Week so I can spend Ramadan with my Wife .

Hey can anyone has an idea that the increase in processing time which changed from 6 months to 8 months is applicable to Dec applicants ?

confused!!

??? ??? dont want the process to be more long. when we filed the application it was 6 months in India. Just hope that we should get all things done within 6 months time. Cant wait more

i think its same for everyone june applicants as well as december applicants also. when i sent my application, processing time for first stage approval was 44 days and i got after 96 days

Got a reply from Delhi through my MP saying that they are waiting for Mississauga to confirm that I made the last payment for the PR fees before they can issue the visa. Anyone as any idea how long it might take to get that confirmation from Mississauga? We really want that visa to be issued soon!

can anyone educate on the process after the file get transferred from Canada to ND. mine was transferred on the 12th of June which was recent, i was wondering what is the process after they receive the file.....

Here is what rjessome, an immigration consultant, posted on another thread:

When the application reaches the visa office it goes to data entry first. Then to storage, then to the paper screen officer, then recommendations given/instructions made, then back to storage, then checked on the BF date by admin staff to follow up on recommendations/instructions, then if a decision is recommended or further instructions required, forwarded to a VO for a review and either a decision or an interview, then back to storage, and then assigned to a VO on the morning of the interview, then decision entered or stored until the VO gets to it, then to the program manager or senior officer for review of the decision.

That must be a relief for you! There's no set timeline for this stage...I've been trying to track the duration from "in process" to DM since December, and I've found that it takes anywhere from 6 days (swoop81) to 46 days (bandit). Obviously the data isn't perfect - not everyone sees in process on ecas, or doesn't report updates here, but it looks like 20-30 days seems to be the median wait. Not sure if that makes you feel better or not...

Bring forward dates. Heard from the earlier applicants it is around 30 days and sometimes more based on the time given to applicant to send additional documents.

Yes, the website says ecas is updated on Tuesdays but I've seen my and others' updates appear on other days of the week. So far I got my updates on Wed and Sat. Not positive about the answer to your 2nd question but it's likely to be done in Delhi itself, I would think.

You can do either of the two. If you want a speedy process, go back to India now and send your passport. Or if you want to stay with your husband for sometime- write a detailed letter requesting for a second passport request. However, this will somewhat delay your process. How much delay, I don't know...

hey its great that you got some info from MP. else they have standard ans.

I am not sure but had read in previous blogs that Mississauga takes 2-3 days to update it. hope by the end of this week you should get your DM. All the best!
