My wife got a call from ND today.
A lady, with indian accent, spoke on the phone, and clearly explained why she called.

She informed my wife that our PR is approved and they will stamp the visa and send it to us and we should be getting it in a week or 10 days.
She told she made the call only to confirm that if my wife can travel before july 07, our medical expiry.

She even told that, they told my MP yesterday that it is still in process. But today they made the decision.

Our anniversary is on 20-june, even if she cant make it before that, we are happy that atlast we have a good news to celebrate!!!!

Thanks to the God Almighty !!!!!

All the best to those who are waiting !

congrats vengat,,

fly before 7 july,.book the ticket and reach at ur destination before medical expire.

book 2 july

all the best

Hi guys,
I am Indian citizen staying in US and my wife is in Canada . She has applied for my PR our file is processed in Canada and it has been send to CHC ND for further processing. Now i will have to go to india when i get the PPR request at my USA address. Would it have been better for me to select Newyork - Buffalo office for processing my visa instead of selecting CHC-ND because am staying in USA right now? By any chance is it possible for me to change my office to Newyork-Buffalo.

One thing i didn't understand why ND VO has to wait until we approach MP and then they take decision. Why can't they take decision before we push them in some other way....

I don't know why but I hope getting my MP involved will help. He is sending an email to ND today to try to get things moving. Keeping my fingers crossed!

i too find this weird...when my mp emailed nd they replied very next day that visa will be ready in 10-15 days;
on the other hand nd did not reply to my enquiries for last 3 months
lets hope visa comes soon. keeping fingers crossed. dont know when they will change the status to DM

Hi,

My File has been transferred to ND for stage 2. My wife is staying with me in Canada on a visitors visa.

My application was outland i.e the visa office is ND. Question is, if I get PPR request in India, should i send my wife immediately back home to send her passport to ND or wait for sometime and send her back.

Whats the best alternative? I have seen in this forum, that it usually takes almost 2 months to get back the passport with visa issued.

Please advice, what should I do.

Many thanks.

best option is for her to stay put in canada with u on visitor visa till it expires..just tell nd that request pp at final stage review as she is travelling

Thanks mapplelover.

So I should send a letter to ND, asking them to request pp at final stage review as she is travelling.

When the passport request comes, then you can send a letter requesting to submit pp at later stage of review.they shud be ok with it. Make sure they acknowledge your request by replying to it, which they do!

hi arpit,
as per my knowledge, you can not change your visa office during processing, if you want to do that, you will have to apply again from starting.
you have 3 options after PPR
- fly to India and submit your passport immediately
-send your passport with someone else, flying to India (friend/relative)
- send letter/email to ND and ask them to request passport later, when visa is ready.
thanks and best of luck :)
