Oops some more updates on wife's estatus...

Now my canadian address started showing on her estatus including her indian home address. Something like your current home address as canadian address and current mailing address as indian address... But status shows still inprocess

Does this means visa issuance is in final stage.....

Once the applicant gets the Cdn address on ecas, this means your visa has been issued!! Time to call your wife and celebrate! Congratulations!

I am not sure about the 1 or 2 weeks part.
But this indicates that all your papers are OK and only the final review is pending (just as it was in my case).
Since your medicals are expiring in august, you will surely get it before that.

Hi Vengat my medicals is expiring on 7th July as well and I still have not received my PP and my ecas status just shows application received since the past 4 months I have submitted my PP and I really hope I get my paspport with visa soon .

I don't know what they mean by final review. My mp said yesterday that visa will come in 15 days but ND is talking about review still. They don't give full information it seems
I remember some people getting DM in 1-2 weeks after getting this kind of response from new Delhi
I guess it is their std template that they use to copy paste

I know one person, in real life, who had similar experience. His went 'In Process' on May 5th and they asked for his passport a couple of weeks later. I think he finally sent it in early June as there were strikes in Kathmandu disrupting courier services. I'll call him today and ask if there's been any news. I knew of another person who had similar timelines but already got the passport back. Both of them were Nepalese nationals.

CIC has regional embassies that process immigration papers. ND, for eg, handles Nepal and Bhutan as well. So, for non-Indians they wait till the final stages before asking for passport. With Indians, I'm finding they usually get their PPRs within two weeks. I'm assuming if you're an India, but your mailing address is outside India, they might wait to ask you for your passport as well.

What I am finding it whether they ask you for your passport within two/three weeks, it takes a while to get into process and the decision made subsequently takes longer. If your application goes into 'In process' before and you get a PPR only couple of months after the transfer, the decision made part is relatively quicker. They scenarios add up to similar totals.

Can somebody shed some light on the whole "Contact your MP" process?

- How many days after PPR should I contact my MP? (assuming ND VO)
- Do you write a letter/email or call the MP?
- If email or letter, does anybody have a format/template they can share?
- Should one write a CSE to CHC-ND before contacting their MP?
- What information can an MP provide?
- Why is this process not officially mentioned anywhere on CIC or CHC-ND website?

I am in a small city in Canada. I highly doubt my MP would even know about this sponsorship process.

U'r time line shows that u applied before me. Just curious to know what's ur estatus showing now? did u had any address updates on ur status recently? have u contacted ur MP before?

even i dont have exact answers to ur questions. I thought of applying today but yesterday there was an update on my wife's status. My canadian address showing up on her status so i thought of waiting some more time to enquire through MP / applying GCMS notes.

Congrats Venkat, after a long wait . I hope i will soon receive the good news as well. I sponsored my spouse on Sept 2011, ans still waiting
I contacted MP on May 28, how long i have to wait to contact the MP again to know the status of my application. My lawyer faxed a letter to ND yesterday on June 13. Will it delay my application, since I got GCMS notes, contacted MP, and this month my lawyer contacted them as well.
