I am also able to login to ecas today. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed the word "null" added in front of the name. Does it mean anything??

No "null' for me at least !!!!!!

Is it the first time, are you able to log in? when was your sponsorship approved?

yes, i am still waiting for an approval

you are lucky that you are able to log in to ECAS before your approval...

what does your Ecas status show?

Application Received

only the reason why the TRV visa is refused that the person does not have strong ties in home country and he wont return back and if the person is in canada they tend not to return back.
frauds are also the reasons
almost they take care and check every aspect of the person's life

It's really sad. I don't understand why they deny trv. On one hand they talk about promoting tourism in Canada. They must have some strong reasons. I sometimes feel that to an extent, we are responsible for it. There has been so many frauds and recently a guy committed suicide in B.C when his newly wedded bride left him for her boyfriend. There was a time when spouse visas were given within one week. Because of these frauds, every application is seen with suspicion. But i think in your case, your spouse visa must be on the way. I can understand the frustration that grows within you everyday. Your life seems to halt. I really wish all genuine cases are processed quickly.

I agree

Well they have to understand that, no one would like to stay illegally on TRV when their immigration file is in process. What would the person get from it. No health insurance. No benefits. No work. And Time limit for ND office to process the case is 6 months on an average so a person traveling on TRV will have to come back because he/she will get PPR before the TRV expires for sure. No one would like to stay illegally in the country at the expense of their PR status.

Mine says "null" too. no idea what that is

@rozine

Does your Ecas still show "application received' or changed to "in process"... Its been almost 3 months after your PPR..

Btwn is your case a simple one or any factor which you think might delay your case?

Thanks Gsikhphsyio and others!

I think it something to do with our last name. I was reading a post which said that if the last name is missing in your application form then they usually write NULL. I am not sure. Still waiting for someone to shed some light on it. I hope it does not mean more trouble

"Null" means "empty"
there brain is empty

It still says "application received" :(. Its abt time they change it to "in process" now ::). Well, my case is pretty simple. First wedding for both, same religion, no age difference. The only factor i am concerned abt is, we met online and it was long distance relationship till we got married. But, we have been together for almost 9 years now, and we visited eachother during this time. And ya, he went to netherlands for his undergrad. So, BC might take sometime too..

That's a catch !!!! so called "BC".....

I really don't understand why would it take that long for BC. My employer in the USA and Canada also run a BC on when they hire some one. It took less then a day for them to clear me. So if CHC ND really work on that, they can get the BC report from any damn country within 15 days. But they do not do it that way. What they do is once your file needs BC from other country, it will be pushed to the next date which will be after 2 months when they re open it to check if the BC report is back.
