Does any of you people interested to know what happened to the

4th time TRV I applied for my wife? The results came today.

If some one says in the Forum "Canadian Immigration Process is not the Best"

Then I will share...(Actually I have toned down the words...")

Clue: It had happened what I had calculated.

While my application is "In Process" status, can I send new and additional evidences to prove my marriage. These are those evidences which have cropped up post submission of our application such as travel to another country, birthday celebrations in our family, insurance policy that my husband bought for me etc

Quick question for clarification. These travels that occurred after submitting your application, were they after your interview (aug 2011)? As per your timeline looks like you submitted your passport in July 2011 so I am guessing you traveled to another country before July 2011 (?). Did you traveled anywhere before (not necessarily with your husband) and did you declare that? Plus the additional things, birthday celebrations insurance policies etc did they take place after your interview?

The travel will come up in your background check and if it took place before your interview they might question why it wasnt shared during the interview esp if the appendix C (i think its appendix C) form you submitted stated no travel history. BC check is what causes delays in processing as it takes the most time, and if you have traveled to another country than that just adds additional time to it as they have to verify info from that country too. BC could take a month to few months depending on the history.

Customs/Immigration

Hi Guys
THought i share couple quick lines on how my wife's experience was coming through customs and immigration. Her and I came back on dec 30th, I went down there for couple days got there on 25th and flew back on 29th. At the customs the guys asked if there is anything else being shipped in additional to what my wife brought. Told him my wife will be going back in september to bring back rest of her stuff so he made note of it. I asked him if he wants to see the list of things she is bringing in right now including jewelry and he said no need. Then we went to immigration. the lady greeted us and asked the basic questions like, the current mailing address, nothing specific. We were in and out of immigration in 5 minutes.

On a side note, just an FYI for anyone bringing in jewelry. Its a good idea to take pictures of all your gold/diamond jewelry and get it appraised with proper dates/stamps. This will help you in couple ways one, if in future you end up going outside of Canada to attend someone’s wedding, for instance, and took your jewelry, on your way back you won’t have to pay duties/customs if they question it as you have the original appraisal as it came with you when you immigrated. Second thing it will come in handy for adding it to your home insurance policy. Just a suggestion.

We got our passport request today. My wife checked her email account and she received an email at 4:30 PM today evening from CIC New Delhi requesting to send her passport. Happy that PPR finally arrived. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouraging words. I hope people who are waiting for the next step receive good news soon.
