Guys, my husband tried paying the RPRF online today but he did not get a receipt. Instead it said the transaction was not approved, but the money was taken out of his credit card. Any idea what's happening here? :(

if your husband has confirmed with the credit card company it was charged to his card then call cic at 1-888-2422100 and explained them the issue and they will help him to sort it out.

He might need to go to a bank and pay the fees. Do not worry about credit card transaction. Amount charge take place immediately but because it was not approved he will get the refund within 48-72 hours ( some cards even make you wait until the next billing cycle). But nothing to worry about it as long as it was not approved.

Thanks kuku, but we are more concerned about the reciept I need to send to ND alongwith my passport. And paying through a bank takes weeks, and we dont want to delay sending my passport since I missed out on my ppr in september...

He might need to order receipt from CIC which could take 1-2 weeks. It would have been a matter of few minutes if he had a receipt.
HE might want to use someone else's card in that case.

Why would he need another card? Sorry I didnt get you...

As you said. His card did not go through and amount already got charged to the card. He can try with the same card again if the credit limit permits. But he will be waiting for 1000k to reverse if it also does not go through. Keeping that in mind, I advised to use the other card. :D :D
