Yes, the IO will ask him to confirm the mailing address of the PR card. Ask your hubby to give your correct address in Canada. You do NOT have to apply for a PR card anymore, not that i know of since 2005 or something. First Time PR card will be mailed to the address he provides within 6-8 weeks but these days it is
getting delayed cos of the can strike...my wife is 6 weeks in Canada and no PR card.
You will only apply for a PR card if you make a change in details like surname or renew a PR card and it costs $50...this is after you get your 1st PR CARD.
