After we get the approval of sponsorship... ND first receives the scanned documents from Canada and the physical file follows after that... well i dont know the exact reason... but i have contacted one of the lawyer over here and he said whatever additional documents ND receive... they receive through Ottawa so all the documents are first processed in Ottawa... I am not sure lawyer was right or wrong... but that what i came to know... as I have submitted some additional documents when they asked for PP.. and i am still waiting for their reply...

I can tell with my wife's processing times there is no way ND sent the documents to Ottawa first before processing. I know all files are initially sent to Ottawa from Mississauga before they are sent to the respective visa offices, but for additional documents I don't think that is the case.

I know gazillion of thoughts goes through our mind when our neck is held by New Delhi, should I send or not send, would this put a red-flag on the file, would this do that, would it be delayed, I;m just saying whats going through my mind.. when the time is right do what you feel is right and figure out the trend.

I like to be pro-active, so I may just send few pics and the call logs since Mar 25th onwards...

First I want to goto India now.. I'm tired of this... arghhhhhh @ @ @ ND sucks!!!!!!!!!

I can feel what you are going through man, I went through the same thing, espcailly after my wife had an emotional breakdown being away for so long. Hope your file moves quickly man.

GUESS WHAT WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

My husband just got out of the interview like 10 minutes ago!! he said it was very intense..over a hour!! Im gonna let him go eat and relax!! he will tell me later about his side of the interview!! and they phoned me as well...it was a punjabi lady,
asked me my name?
date of birth?
if i was married?
to whom?
when was marriage?
if I speak punjabi...then i said yes, and said can she do the interview in punjabi i said yes.
asked about where we went for honeymoon and outtings?
asked me my husbands aunts name?

Who went with us on our outtings?
did we go alone anywhere?

what phone numbers I have? ( i have 3 diff numbers)

Where I work?
Why dont I go to college?

Career choice?
does your husband speak english perfect?
Whats your email adress?
whats your husbands email adress?
DOes your husband own a computer?

She did not ask much personal information about my husband to me...
but after shes like ok im done, bye

and that was it.. I was feeling very nervous at the time..but it went well
im sooo excited!!!!!!1 cant wait been over 6 months since Iv seen him!!!

I am seriously getting frustrated with this damn ND.

I contacted my MP yesterday and today morning i sent the consent form, so they can check the status for me. within 6 hours i got this reply from MP office

I contacted Citizenship and Immigration this morning. This file was received in New Delhi on January 20th 2011. Please note that the average processing times in New Delhi is 6 months – this is the average and some cases are completed before the average time while others take longer.
The background checks are still pending and the file is currently with an officer.
The next step would be to issue medicals but they have not sent out a letter with medical instructions yet.
With regards to the passport – there is no indication that a request for passports was ever made and therefore if you sent it without a request for it, then it is possibly sitting in the mail room.

If you have a tracking number then you can send an email to the embassy and ask them to return the passport to you.

I would be happy to provide you with another status update in 60 days upon your request.

What a bunch of crap....We did medicals already and submitted with the application. Even i saw the medicals Received Status in ECS for few days. second We got the passport request letter from new delhi and we sent it on February. Why the hell ND is saying they will send medical letter now? Why would they say they didn't send the passport request? How would we even get a UCI number without getting the passport request mail?

AND NOW THE BIG QUESTION..How my MP managed to get the status update within 6 hours while new delhi office is closed? (night time) TOTALLY confused. do you think my MP cooked a half baked story or its new delhi playing the game?

Don't stress too much on what they have replied. They have a standard set of replies for answering e-mails from MPs.
It seems to me that the person in charge of replying e-mails picked the wrong e-mail and is not very much familiar with the
spouse PR processing. For Spouse PR, no such medical requests are sent unless the submitted medicals are about to expire.

I would say wait for one more week and I am sure you will see movement on your file. What is the status on e-cas?
Did you get request for additional documents? Do you have foreign travels??

Interview waived is very normal.. not many people get called for interview...

But I say interview is better than waiting for PPR / approval

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured out that was the case. E-cas status is " Application Received " We didn't get any request for additional documents and my wife never travelled outside of india. but i did travel often. ( I am sponsoring my wife..so i hope that dosent cause the delay)

Your travel history is not going to cause any delay.

How frustrating to get that reply from the MP's office. May be you shld write back to them and point blank tell them u weren't expecting a copy / paste email. Or may be it's a mistake that they mailed you someone else's file status? The mail says ur file was received on Jan 20/ ur timeline says file transf Jan 31

The MP's office can infact get ur file detials from Ottawa, But I don't think they'll respond in 6 hrs! Something fishy!

i sort of agree with u...i think this is a "story"...u can try to contact him again....and advise that u have already submiited the medicals along with the file....

You are soo right, this is definatley looks like either the MP is playing games, but how do they know they've received your file on Jan/20?

My husband got a PPR, and to send additional documents. We don't know what's next for us. is it and interview or an approval. i hope approval b/c if they do an interview, it's gonna delay him coming here even longer. My brother's wife is already here, and we applied for our PR at the same time. so frustrated ....

I did send them a reply saying, what they gave me was wrong information and lets see what will be the reply. something is fishy but I didn't give her the date my file transferred to delhi..she got that correct..I think she did contact the office in ottawa and made up the story about medical and passport

I know what you mean,, only if they did the First Come First Served... but they've got no-where in their books to follow that procedure. If they think the additional docs you sent (you may have posted, but what was asked in add-docs?) are sufficient for what they need then they will waive the IView, but IMO IView is much better than not hearing anything from them.. so far only happened to 1 person that after interview they havent sent the passport bak to her (sonyji) but usually everyone gets them back 2 weeks after the interview. She is just un-lucky, and I have a feeling her passport is sitting on some VO who was supposed to stamp it, and may have miss-placed it. They never admit their mistakes.. Must be looking in the whole office for her passport with some magnifying glass.

They've had a habit of asking for interview almost in 2 weeks and eCAS also says the DATE but no time, and you'd also get the letter, but recently I've seen they now give about 4 weeks notice.

in any case I would love an interview, I'd never mind it, cuz the PPT is guaranteed (almost) if everything is smooth, and again people with Genuine Marriage should all feel the same.

and my case the MP I thot was mine is not mine, so they forwarded the request to the RIGHT MP for me... I hope they get me some answers.
