its really upsetting..... people filing app in jan feb getting visa in april, may and people applied during nov, dec did not... i dont know what is the policy they go through

It's combination of "bunch of files in some filing cabinet" and "bunch of mailboxes holding each file". They have computers but their system is not fully integrated with hard copy files and documents.

They say that when you send PP, it takes 30 to 45 days to insert then in your file and then VO will take a look. Then how come some people receive decision made within 20 days of sending PP. It's completely a matter of luck. There is no set procedure. If a VO officer finds a case convincing then you will be done very quickly, otherwise they will follow the stupid "6 month deadline" rule.

Sorry guys for all this rambling. I have given up any hope with this bunch of @ #%&$* (I don't know what you will address them). There is nothing you can do.

Need detailed help from applicants who changed the surname in India.

Can you please tell me what the procedure to get a Detailed affidavit - Surname change after marriage is?
I dont think we need to publish anything in the paper as it is not a legal name change..

whom do we go to ?
what do we need to bring?
What do they give us in the Detailed affidavit

Yes. I agree with you. I am very upset with this. People having complexities in their files were able to get their visa within 2 months of sponsorship approval, but some people just wait and wait. My passport is with them for 5 weeks now and no sign of status update.

I can find one reason for this delay. May be I did not paint a good story for the VO officer to believe. They want the marriage story to be on some specific format. People are doing fraud, but what is my fault. So before getting married, I have to know what proofs I should keep, how I should take photographs that will show chemistry of marriage, how I want to have a relationship before marriage for 6 to 9 months, keep phone log/skype log for 6 to 9 months so that even a idiot can believe that this is a genuine love, blah..blah.. Mine is a arranged marriage, that's why I am going through all this.

I have wasted so many hours thinking about how I would have prepared my application better. It's very frustrating.

He went to Oakville and they refused.

The issue is MTO needs a letter from the RTO stating experience etc, these RTO guys and i don blame them have no idea.
But in India a 500 Rs Gandhi pic can get you anything :

If only Gandhi's pic worked the magic.. his local RTO officer is an A**... he doesn't even want to hear him out...

Do you think a notarized letter would work? I know the MTO states it has to be on RTO letterhead.. let's see...

I was talking to a friend of mine who mentioned when he was sponsroed by his wife ...ND misplaced his PCC and he had to get another one for them ..which delayed the process by another 2 mnths!

What fun!!!
