Congrats for getting the interview. Interview is not a big thing. They will ask questions from the application. So you guys will do good.

It's good that at least your file is moving. I hope they will tell you on the date of the interview that you visa is approved and expect to get the passpot back in 1 week.

i cheked ecas it updated to
permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on April 11, 2011.

Interview scheduled for June 21, 2011.

and it still says APPLICATION RECIEVED.

sooo wish us luck...Didnt think itd happen after then intense phone interview lol but its god wish atleast I now they are doing sumthing. soooo I guess its time to start studying little bit

Fprince's advice is good. I will also write something like "I am the applicant...", just so that the lazy New Delhi guys don't confuse again.

You know what its so true.. yesterday.. my wife knows everything some how.. like yesterday we were talking about something.. and she knew I didn't want to talk about it, so I started making sound as if I'm sleepy.. and tell her to sleep cuz I want to sleep... so we do that... and this morning she brings the same topic up.. I'm like I don't want to talk about this... she is like "I know when we talked about this yesterday you wanted to sleep.." and then she goes to day "now its afternoon are you still sleepy?" and thank God.. I just yawned.. and I'm like yeah if I wasn't at work. anyways she knew I wanted to sleep cuz I didn't want to talk about that topic.. but today we put the topic to rest

I am also hoping the same my friend. But I know it's not going to happen. I know my luck is deep down somewhere in the Black Sea.

If and when it will happen I don't expect them to send my the 370+ pictures I've sent them.. it might cost them money... and I don't care as I printed it on regular paper in colour.. and it was freeeee , but I do want the BIRTH certificate as I sent the original one in, but I've still got 1 more original copy with me here.

I doubt he can check ecas with the File# as he might not have the file number, as no letter of PPR yet, its still in the MAIL / LOST.

I hope they can reply to your CSE that way you can get the file# or maybe you will get that lost letter soon.

They asked my wife for file number when they were verifying her identity. She told them she didn't have that. They gave her the file number.

I think they need the birth certificate, although School leaving certificate has the date on it. The passport has the date of birth on it but still they require birth certificate, as birth certificate is directly from the issuing authority.

You can send notorized copies of birth certificate.

Ben...did u not send ur Birth Certificate with the application? They ask for a copy of ur BC in the identity part.
School certificates are also to be attached to back up the credentials. But I guess they do need ur BC to verify info such as parents name/birth place etc.

on the document checklist one of the requirements is birth cert or baptism cert or both. of course not everyone will have a baptism cert ....
