Now lets see which comes first - a decision made update on ecas or visa from IPS

Talking to my wife and father in-law by phone, I did find out that some
couples were being denied at the interview process. Her father was outside
the embassy talking to a few people who had finished their interviews that
morning as well. One couple was denied because they felt that it was not
a genuine marriage because there was not enough photgraphic evidence.
They sent about 30 pictures. I'm not sure about the quality of the photos,
but my instinct was to send as many photos of us mostly hugging or kissing
while we were on the honeymoon.

Thanks for sharing drdave. Yeah, we sent them about 150 pics (marriage and honeymoon) when we applied, including a lot of pics showing closeness and chemistry between us. We also sent an additional 40 pics of her with my family when we sent her passport last week. Hopefully they will be good with that.

so far I was the only person whos applicant got basically a suprise phone interview..so I guess we'll see wat goes down...they recieved the passport monday!!!!!!!1

There have been a few members before you joined that got this type of interview completed. Some did not post publicly abt it. Its a very common practice as they do not have the time to interview everyone in person.

True, they did say application accepted, but I will be much happier when we get
visa throught the postal system. Which is now averaging 7 days, for the three
letters that we got so far. Delhi - near Chandigarh.

I went through the same thing. I dont think mine ever showed Decision Made, which started making me nervous. We received the ppt about 9 days after the interview though. So like everyone told me, dont worry

They should be good with that. I counted 148 for us.

True. But there is always that little bit of doubt that always seem to get us.
From other cases I studied, I just went over the spreadsheet. Most people
that went throught the interview got it in about a month afterwards. Not sure
if that was ND taking a long time or IPS.

It should be over by now. I was sitting by the phone until about midnight on
Sunday before I had a chance to talk to her after the monday morning interview.

ok...may be I shld not get overyly worried with this...but I sent only abt 30-40 pics...a few from here and there for the last 4 yrs we've known and abt 7-8 from my wedding...as it was a small civil wedding and we didn't hv much of a celebration...I did include some intimate pictures...Hope they don't make an issue abt it..

But I thought if they didn't think we sent them enough pictures..won't they ask for more before deciding to deny the application? I personally don't think the judgement is based just on the photographs.

True I agree with you the judgement is not just based on the photos, but other factors as well. However that what
was mentioned by the visa officer. Of course we are making judgements on evidence that is currently unseen by us.

You know for a fact that i don look that handsome ;D
so I only sent 30-40 pics 8)
They will get a $hitload if they request for more...and looks like they didn wanna see my ugly face again, hence they don talk to me...

You are right, communication and the way the case is presented has more importance than a picture..really depends on what they see in the pic..do u look like a normal couple, is there love, are you gloomy so and so...
