10 days if you go into a Passport Canada Office, although next year it might be about 1 month depending when you go because they are suppose to introduce the EPassport and maybe the 10 year ones as well. So might be a bit of a craze over that.

This was my response to that crap above....

First of all they are in their own thread feeling stressed about thier own files and seeking support from others in their respective VO, so why are you concerned about them complaining or not. Each person is only concerned with their own spouse and for everyone the wait is excruciting. Secondly, ND makes the PPR request very early in the stage for security background checks, and is no way a reflection that they have been approved for the visa or that it will come soon. Im sorry that your VO is taking so long by why feel the need to be hateful of others just because they hurt too missing a spouse, even if the possibility their cases will be solved faster. To eac his own pain and by God grace they find strength in others and not this negativity.

Well said, you should have quoted my case as an example..and you are right...jus cos we get it in 6 months does not make us lucky..a wait time is a wait time for each spouse.

There is a reason why India has a 6 month deadline and they have 18 months..can not change that..
Canada set the rules and we did not..even though we wish they all get it fast, they have too much sh%t to deal with fbi clearance blah blah blah..which unfortunatley was the result of the govt/people actions..
Yeah i hate going into a different forum and quoting how lucky the other dude in the other forum is..things are different and we need to compare apples to apples..like the great fuc$ing ND office applicant's fate.

People who are browsing this thread & who want to get married soon - do it before you become a PR..will save you valuable time in your marriage..yes 2-8 months......in some cases even more !

Usually when they issue a visa..do they issue it first in the passport and then change ecas or couldnt it happen in any scenario?

Well I guess they could put the visa in the ppt then update, or update the ecas and put visa in and mail it.

Either scenerio is possible.

yes china is pretty fast.

infact in one recent case even Accra issued issued visa in less than 2.5 months where wait time is very high.
other VOs are trying to come down on wait time but ND is committed to increase it......ND is sucking these days.....they are high headed people

ususally e-cas changes afterwards....but u never know what ND does....

what i know is there are final decision makers who sign the files at the end so that a visa can be issued.

and these days it looks like all decision makers are either on leave or they are made not to sign any file........no decision is coming.....not even for Nylalisa whose case has been confirmed for visa issuing in the interview.

Its hard to tell when it changes, until after you get your Visa. What I have seen is that about 2 to 3 days after it has been put in the ppt, people will notice the change in ECas. Obviously, we realize this after the ppt comes back and we see the date on the visa and match it back to when we are seeing the ECas change. But a few members wrote me and told me that 2 weeks after they received their ppt, thats when ECas changed. So both scenerios are possible.

Yes they su$k in communication and always let us guess what would have happened..it suc$s big time..
don worry, if your tracking says its received it is received and on file

VO does not want people to contact them before 6 months is up. They fail to realize that people wouldn't need to contact them if eCAS did what it was meant to do - give timely and informative updates to applicants. If eCAS did that, I bet it would cut down the number of queries by 50% at least.

Guys, I just wanted to say, I retracted all my comments about the other post on the Pakistani thread. I called a truce with a few people who have accepted and can see we had a misunderstanding and that I should have fought a little harder before I wrote. I am someone who doesn't like to attack anyone personally, and I didn't want to offend and if I leave some of that earlier stuff up before the apologies took place, then I am allowing others to come to the forum and read that and think we all hate on each other.

All countries are in this horrible waiting game together. And should try to spport each other, I have to remember, everyone is just concerned about their own waiting times and frustrated when others are going faster. I get pissed off when I see this in my own forum.

WAITING is the only game we can play now..................................

frustration is part and parcel when we dont get any response or dont know what is happening with our file..... but if delhi starts responding to our query then it might even delay processing time more...they are really understaff............and the volume of processing is too high ................

only prayers can heal us ........... let every one get visa as soon as possible.............
