It appears from this thread that between March and August last year they went crazy putting out visa. I dontknow why but they probably leave the first few months kinda dead, then put alot out then start to slow down again by the end of the year as they approach their own targets. What I would love to know is, month by month last year, how many visa they do give. I would ATIP it if my file and fate wasnt under their control.

So my question is this for any old members who have been through the interview... can you share your experience. I know on some other threads members of other offices were able to share valuable experience in detail.

Don't worry, i hope things are fine for you..i read somewhere that u will be on the phone when the interview happens and someone had posted a long list of questions...but i did hear members saying that they only ask stuff from your file..i am with you on this..ND does things which we can't even imagine.. i will try to get any informormation i have read here..be strong, it will all be good..its f u c k in pathetic that they dont even send u a letter but update status on ecas after getting ur passport....it will all be good..i will pray for u

looking at your case, they do have your hubby's passport and they had requested for other documents..and now they are calling him in..if its not that personal, can you share what kind of additional documents they requested? i know ND does random things as they have a quota of how many ppl they are seeing in person but things will be good for you ..i know its hard..but please relax...don stress yourself.

Why they have given a month for interview? according to me that's too late, should be around 10 or 15 March. anyways best of Luck. They might be issue the visa same day never know. Are you joining that interview?

I pretty much know the reasons they are asking for interview, I am not shocked at all. I just wish I had more time to order CAIPS, at this point I wont receive them on time. Anyways. I was married to a Canadian guy when I was 21. It lasted one year and we both realized we were too young to be married and had very different goals in life. It was a mistake in being naive for both of us. So they asked for Divorce Petition and orginal judgement, even though I had sent the Divorce certificate. So thats one issue. Other issues are:
We married just short of knowing each other 1 year, and we had met on the interbet but got parents blessing along the way. It was never a secret. I am half indian and white. I am older than him. I have been to university and he hasn't. In fact, I am in law school right now and already have 2 degrees. But I am sure to them I am some sort of elitetis that should only marry people from university backgrounds. Whatelse is there that they can pick out... umm He is born Ravidassia Sikh and I am born Christan but neither of us really practice, I mean I don't at all.

thanks guy for the questions. I found these and have been working with these, but I really wanted to know from someones personal experience because these were just complied question and I dont even know where they came from originally. But they are definetely better than nothing.

I am not sure if I can join here. As it is, I am in law school that is my last week of school before exams. Which totally sucks. But I will try to be there, I think it will make it stronger for us if I can be there. I just got to come up with the money now and try to get a few days off work because it is be a really quick trip, less than a week, fly in for interview and out again a few days later if I can go. I am actually thanks for for the month because it gives more time to prepare. I dont care how we met, how soon we were married; it's genuine, I am worried about a visa officer that doesn't want people leaving India; thus making him nervous and screwing around. Also I am started to get paranoid and think these people watch these threads. Because everything I have basically brought up about interviews and etc etc has been happending to me, or it's just some weird coincidence.


Ohh let me just rant on this... I do think that thy do target cases in Punjab, so if you are a lucky one who gets out without all this hassle... YAY for you.

Nope still says received... thats the stupid thing. At least if I knew they were so far along, I could have ordered CAIPS, but now it is too late for that. So he needs to go into the interview guessing what they suspect or doubt about us.

Dont worry, Ur husband will do the interview well. Only if they need, they l ask u also to be on the phone line. Otherwise, they wil interview ur husband alone.. All they ask is abt ur relationship. Nothing else. I rem Rocky telling us.. They l just ask him how u got met,married etc. basically whatever qns are there in the file. They want to make sure its genuine. Am sure they l definitely understand it after the interview.. And one more advantage having interview is that, they l immediately stamp the visa and send it very soon within 2 weeks or so.. I ve seen ppl from my timeframe getting visas even after attending interview, and look at me, they ve not asked for anything, still am waiting. So in a way its good to have interview, u can clairify all their doubts then n there.. so just dont worry, relax.

Also am shocked to see that they ve a quota that they ve to interview these many persons in a yr or what? hw can they ve that.. it all depends on applns right. Then does it also mean that they ve a quote for rejection also?

I wouldnt say they have a quota for rejection. My understanding is they cant reject without doing an interview because they have to be justified, which means they have to give the application all opportunity to clear up any problems. They are actually mandated to waive interviews as much as possible. I am sure they get a ton of applications a year, I would say more than 5000 that they have for quota.

I guess I should look at it positively, I have nothing to hide. I mean if anything, I wouldnt have admitted to them we met on net... lol. Other than that what would I be so shameful about? It's just I hate the idea of someone having my fate in their hands. Also, Sanyrog, no news is good news. Its just a waiting game at this point for you.
