How did you send the passport? did you use the P.O. Box #?
I'll check my E-CAS and let you know ASAP.

I sent the passport using Speedpost using India Postal service and got the tracking number, the Postal staff told me not to use the P.O Box as Speed post cant go to P.O Boxes and does not guaranteed delivery, so P.O. box need to be removed

Even if you address it to :

Canadian High Commission New Delhi
Immigration Section.
Chanakyapuri
New Delhi
Pin Code ...........

Then it should be good no worries, but just make sure u send it through a reliable medium with delivery confirmation

Did you also include a cover letter along with PP and copy of PPR?

Yes my wife did included a cover letter to know them that we are sending the new passport ( with changed last name after marriage ) and the old expired passport ( with last name before marriage ) as requested by them that's it Also to mention we already submitted the Landing fees and PPC

So these days they dont send labels to attach on the passport anymore?
a 13 day travel is really slow considering even ordinary post.

No there were no labels that came along but there was a scanned label on the PPR letter itself with File Number and UIC number
You can check the status with the File number on ECAS but the results are the same as if when i check it through sponsor Client ID.

Yeah I don't know what it took so late to reach the letter but hey, it's all good at-least it reached lol

hey dont worry u will get it soon and they will have to process fast bcoz in next few days it s going to be 6 months since u have applied!
so they will send u PPR and they will have to send it back to u within 6 months

I just hope my letter was in the same batch as yours and good news..i see some light today..
Funny how they process these, my file was there in delhi a few weeks earlier but i still have not got anything...maybe my file sucked haha

Nah Nah don't worry your PPR is on the way for sure, If it took 13 days for a letter to reach Punjab from Delhi then Add like 1-2 days more for Bangalore, I don't know why Indian postal service is so lazy seriously and these letters are important and confidential and should come as registered mail, they just sent it as a normal mail which sucks, we paid like $1040 and they cant spend around 25 Rs to make it as a registered mail.

But i am sure when they return the passport it will be a registered mail.

I heard somewhere that they send the passport back through registered post and someone needs to sign it.someone also mentioned it only takes 3-5 days after they dispatch it..so the PP return should be fast...
for the PPR request i think the mail is delayed in the sorting facility, 15 days for a letter to travel inside India is very very very slow..you could send a letter from canada to india normal mail within 10 days....

I am pretty sure you will get it tomorrow or the max on Friday, as ECAS is a good test as to when did they issue the PPR, infact they issued the PPR before they changed ECAS.
There are cases where they have returned the passport in 4-5 weeks so lets c
