@ Panda,

I had white lawyer didn't too much about phera I guess. He doesn't really know phera because he mostly deal with other visa post. He found out about phera when I attended ADR with album lol. Any ways, but in my case they don't really have to look for proof about being real marriages because I provided everything they need from albums to bank account and properties that we own and other proofs and they are satisfied with it so I am not sure what they are looking for and why they are taking so long. Background check should not take that long, if you have not travelled anywhere outside india for more than 6 months and medical is not the issue. I guess they just sit on our file and take random file and process them.

hey did they take pain to go ur native or ur wifes native to chk b4 taking decision like tht?

No i they never did that. I am guessing they don't come to ur native and carry out check. If they did that.if they did that our life would be little easy I would say.

its been 121 days ND is having my passport,,,,, it seems they like my passport very much still they r holding it;D :P

To much silence in the room, make some noise folks, Not enough news coming in FEB

I just spoke to my lawyer and he said we should hear something by end of this month. Since they holidays they only had 3 to 4 weeks to work on our file. So I am hoping that we all should start hearing or getting visa befor this month ends.

hi can any new delhi applicants help me.... I did send only a photocopy for marriage certificate..is it okay .......one of my freind from india send only her photo copy..it was not notarised neither attested... she got her visa in 2 and a half months in november........ please help me.......

The marriage certificate needs to be a notarized and attested as said the check list of the documents in the immigrant guide, So it's better to send a notarized and attested copy of the marriage certificate.

Can you please share the time of your friend as when did she got her file transfered to New Delhi > When was the PPR and when did the visa came ?

Also if you wanna join in and update your timeline of your case that would be good

Thanks
Panda

No it did not need to be notarized. The region specific guide to india says a photocopy is fine when it comes to ND (unless it was other wise stated ie: immigration forms, poilice certificates or it needed a translation, then you needed it certified). BTW your friend is very lucky to have had a visa issued in 2 and half months, most people if not all have been waiting a hell of a lot longer already.
