i am leaving to india in 2 weeks. I want to spend the rest of my time waiting for his visa with him. i rcieved a letter asking for moredocuments facebook,email, phonebills, love letters and cards. I also attached my airline ticket and my visa to get into india. New delhi recieved the package on the 17th. Will they start processing rightaway??????

I sure hope so Kiwinijjar. I think they would have started checking the documents you have sent right away, albeit a bit slowly.
It is so great that you get to wait together with your spouse before you receive the passport request. I would be interested in now knowing whether CIC-ND would update the ECAS first to show "In Process" or they ask for your passport first.

I received an email from cic asking me for the address to send the passport within nepal india or bhutan.right now I am residing in usa....i had sent my address along with the passport too. So is it a sign that they are ready to send my passport back? Or they r just updating my file

Hey, I live in the US too. I sent them an address in India along with my passport. I got a "decision made" on my application on May 7 and I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail!

They started processing my application on May 5th, that is after 16 days of being in process...someone from the cic india emailed me....and has asked me to send my address which I had already done....I replied them through mail...do you think I should fax them too. I had also included my address with the letter that i had wrote when I sent my Passport...so scared... feels like am almost there...but scared.....i hope I am right and I get my status updated to decision made...and my passport reaches my hand safe.....

Our Sponsorship approval came on May 7. We haven't received PPR yet. When we do get PPR, do we send the Passport by Indian speed post or a courier service? Does CHC-ND have a preference?

dont worry nakesh , u will get ur PPR soon ,it will be on ur way as i was also very scared when i wasn't got it but after all i also got the same , so have some patience u will get it by this weekend or by next week surely.
& send ur PP by courier (blue dart or by DHL service only)

You have Taj , Leela and Hyatt near Chanakyapuri Area. Rest many hotels are near CP. can always look for them on google.

Hello All,

Good News, my wife received PPR today from New Delhi. They requested for the following information:
1) Landing Fees- Already Submitted
2) Police Clearance Certificate- Already Submitted
3) Original Passport- being sent today with courier

All documents are being sent to the PO BOX # on the letter, is this correct? Should I submit any more information? Any idea on how long it takes from PPR to getting the actual Visa? Any suggestions on expediating the process?

The letter was dated May 17th but received with e-mail today on May 22nd. Is a hardcopy of the letter going to be sent as well?

Thanks everyone for the support and I believe the spreadsheet can be updated. Also. e-Cas has been updated with Application and Medical Received for my wife. When can I expect another updated on e-Cas?

I have received the GCMS notes today !

Eligibility: passed
Medical: passed
criminality: not started
security: not started


they started processing the app on Feb 20 (as it reflects in my e-cas), till then they were collecting documents from CPC-M only.

As of Feb-21, all the documents have been attached to our file, including passport.

VO have written notes for eligibility dated Feb 17, that the marriage seems genuine from all documents provided and interview has been waived.
another officer has approved it on Feb 20 and written notes saying, Interview Waived and visa issuance pending.
Thats when my e-cas went to in process (medical received, passport received and interview waived).

No bring forward date has been provided in GCMS.

Hoping that if what they updated my MP comes true (4 weeks from May 10), I should hear something back by Jun 10-15 timeframe.

One thing I learned from the notes is that there is no mention of any complication and interview has been waived and approved.

Happy. Hoping for the final review completion pretty soon.

I'm sure you will get your visa in early June.
Some cases are completed within one month of processing from New Delhi. is it because they have no travel history?

Yesterday my wife missed a call from these no. +42723691 she was in between training so couldn't pick call...I believe its from Newdelhi VO as i can see someone in Jan2012 thread mentioned ND VO number...I was bit upset after missing call i donno when they call her back and its very hard to keep an eye on mobile all the time. Any body here has same experience before?

She tried to call that no. back but its says invalid no.

Oh may b my wife just redial that no. without putting 91 (11) in front. I'll ask my wife to try that tomorrow. Thanks for ur suggestion
