Good to see such a active thread and best thing is the support that we all offer to each other to kill this time.Embassy offices most probably will be closed for holidays starting December 24 afternoon till January 3, that said embassy will return with full working force by the second week of January.
I am hoping that they speed up the process in the new year to clear the backlog of previous year applications and also they have to meet the Quota Criteria assigned to them .Let's hope for the best and not lose patience.
Remember: "Best things happen when they are least expected" , Don't run after the butterfly, it itself will come and sit on your hand one day.

Cheers,
Panda

@ applied03

here is my letter:

We have received your application for permanent residence in canada and have created a file with the file number indicated above, please qoute this number in all future correspondence with our office.
canada has a carefully managed and controlled immigration program that is committed to maintaining a balance of 60% economic immigrants and 40% non-economic immigrants (family class, refugees, and those in need of protection) Amongst non-economic immigrants, priorty is given to spousess/partners and dependent children.
in order to expiedite the processing of your application we are requesting that you privde the folowing as soon as possible:

* payment of your right of permanent resident free (landing fee) to our office in Mississuaga by your sponsor in canadaif not already paid
* submission of police clearence certifcates for time spend in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted
*submission of original passport along with any old epred passports for you and your accompanyiing family members. the picture in the passport for a child under 6 years of age must have been taken within the last 3 years.

please note that a request for your passports at this time is not a guarantee of visa inssurance passorts are requested so that we can hold them on your file and issue your visas as soon as possible after all requirements have been met.

PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED CODUMENTS, documents and passorts must be submitted in a SINGLeE package, do not submit any documents and passports until you have prepared the entire package.

All we have to do is submit passport, as all the of paperwork was alreay submitted with application

FYI
The maximum target for family class immigrants in 2010 was put at 63,000, down from 71,000 in 2009, In 2011 the target is again increased higher than 2010

On November 1st Immigration Canada published a News Released on its website. Minister of Immigration Jason Kenney presented the 2011 Immigration Plan to the Parliament.

I’ve taken a quick look to the News Release and to the document presented by Jason Kenney and I’ve found a few interesting things worth being shared… and hopefully discussed.

“…Canada will welcome between 240,000 and 265,000 new permanent residents in 2011. Sixty percent of these immigrants will come through economic streams…”

“…a higher range of admissions for spouses and children in the family category…” They don’t want immigrants to be alone and sad ! +family = +joy = +spending?

So Good News for all the canadian sponsors and sponsored spouses as the Highlights of the 2011 immigration plan include a higher range of admissions for spouses and children in the family category.

Thanks Rocky, missingyou, adihands, applied03, rbhaweja for all ur consoling words and the support u all give me. Really it helps, I appreciate it. Ok i will wait for some more time for my PPR. My only concern is i dono hw much more I need to wait after I send my ppt, seeing so many ppl are waiting for more than 3months, after sending their ppt.. why is it taking so much of time :(

Sanyrog !

Take it this way, the timeline for worst case of application is six months and keep your mind set for these six months. It is always said prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Keep your mind relaxed for atleast six months dnt panic, i knw its hard but we all are in the same boat. Now just to give an idea ask your husband to visit you for a week in between when ever he gets time off and then set the new timeline of the wait from the day he goes back this way u will feel ur process is short than before. Try to be happy, which will keep you in good health, trsut me its tough for ur husband also who is also away. Its just now 3 more months for u trust me (if u go by the worst case) but i pray that it goes super fast for you. Remember u get easy life after hardships, if u will see off this time u gonna b with ur husband entire life and then will be able to fulfill all the dreams. just keep setting the dreams each day and watch going closer to those dreams. Cherish each day and stay in touch with ur husband via internet or other means..

wish u good luck and speedy stamping...

do u have any international travel record or did u submit any international pcc

Hello all. Iam Sanyrog's husband. I just wanted to convey my appreciation to all of you for your kind words. All the best for your applications and let us hope it is an extra special New Year for all of you this time :)

torontoV and sanyrog....... the reason of delay ND got high volume of application plus they have shortage of officers yeah embassy is off for 3 days but truth is that all senior staff gone for holly days as many officers is Canadian ....... and some cases took time coz they do background check which one is compulsory for every applicant and family members. and i think this is the last step and after that they receive medical and result.

The reason there are no visas issued lately as the quota for this year is already reached the mark.Wait for January 2011 when they speed up the process as highlights in 2011 immigration plan the number ofspouse visas has been increased for the year 2011.

Cheers,
Panda
