I dont have the "we started processing your application " line :|

the docs will reach them tomorrow. does anyone know how many days after they receive a doc they take a look at our file again. i tot 30 days. any ideas ?

I don't know dinmab...did it give you a deadline to submit the docs by? They will prob look at it at the deadline date. They asked us for additional docs and the deadline was the first week of Apr. But we have still to even see "In Process" on ecas. Have had no correspondence since Mid March - which is when they received our additional infor

my wife is in Delhi and i am in Canada she sent passport to Delhi office as request. then after some days they request for her past divorce petition and judgement for continuing the application she sent it on 29th march.
we are waiting for next what will happen.

Good to know that you have been approved....and I hope you get the visa in the mail in two weeks after sending in the stuff, just like he promised

Please post the details!! Like what kind of questions were asked? and why were you called in for an interview? and what did the lawyer mis-write??
Another question, was your interviewer a gora or Indian?? I've always wondered this.

hey guys i got my pp back for re-medical thts the only update i have n my bc r still going on....
ill send my new med n pcc to nd soon

ouche....really sucks...do u have to resurrender your passport as well or can you hold onto it until visa is ready this time? Can you ask your MP why the background check is taking so long? Maybe ask you husband to pay a personal visit to the office!

In the meantime don't worry sister...enjoy your last few days of freedom before you have no domestic help in CANADA and have to bear the cold

finally my husband got visa!!!

i will put up the detail later!!

he got decision made on March.15th.
he had intervew yesterday April.18th,
and he got passport back on next day at the visa office in new delhi.

in our case, we are still young married couple( less than a year.and i am still 22. he is 24.) so i think that why he had interview.......

see someone got their visa in a day after interview...all of you who have interviews scheduled maybe should think about pleaing with them to give you your visa on the spot

Hey Amira, no one can crrtaintly tell you how it will be, because every case is different, every VO may be different, and I think it also depends on the quarter.
We sometimes never really know what CIC-ND does. The only things we say about "Times" are educated guesses or assumptions, theories- not facts.

So the only thing we can provide for you is an estimation- based on past applicants and timeline on the spreadsheet. In reality, we can be right, or it can be delayed for whatever reason, and best of all- something can even happen earlier than our Estimation.

So going forward- you are on the track. Estimated that your PPR would be middle of May thru end of May, after that- your file may go to "In process" anywerw between
Two weeks and the remaining 6 months time

GCMS notes says: that we are compatible in all aspects (blah blah), however:

When i left india after a visit last year, I had a flight change over in Abu Dhabi and was chatting with my wife from there. using one of the airport kiosks. So the date on that kiosk is wrong as it states a date one day in the past.

So it seems like that is the reason they want an interview, as that is the only reason mentioned. but I could be wrong

i think that should work and write one explanation letter also(atating that you have just called CRA for option-c and dont want to waste 2-3 weeks waiting for that so i will send option-c later if you want)

first of all, you dont need to send original marriage certificate, dont do that. you dont know what will happen with your application package after leaving your home. dont include anything that can give you hard time if missed. CIC is missing lot of applications all the time and they didnt ask for original, just send one photocopy.
about option-c, you should tell them that you just applied for option-c, if they need they will request later but it will not cause delay. in some cases they returned whole application package after 3 months of submission just because of missing option-c. explain everything dont worry
