Like I said before, BC is very mysterious in the sense that you never get to know what exactly is going on ?
Even in the USA if the application( immigrant or nonimmigrant) is sent to BC , then bhagwaan hi maalik hai !!

Happy to Join this thread (with the "waiting" pain ) and based on shamsia's reply

So here is my story...

I submitted my application for my wife sponsorship and the processing information is as follows:

Sponsorship Application status: (Decision made)

We received your application to sponsor XXXX on July 22, 2011.

We started processing your application on September 28, 2011.

We sent you a letter on October 20, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence Application Status: (Application Received)

We received XXXX's application for permanent residence on July 22, 2011.

Medical results have been received.


On Nov 15, she got an email from HCC (Delhi) with a pdf referring to her and asking her to submit her passport. The passport reached the HCC on Nov 18 and till date there was no information available. On Dec 9, 2011 she got a reply for the query she wrote and it read as follows : "This Family Class application was received by our office after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps."

When I try to track via her UCI #/file# and her details, there is no file existing

On your wife's passport what does it say under her last name? If its blank then her entire first name as it appears on her passport is her last name on immigration file and use that to check her status.

Alternatively you can check her application status using your uci and clicking on sponsored application.

On a side note if you see "medical results received" then more than likely the interview has been waived off.

It is too early to expect anything from ND office yet. You.are still within the time limit. So don't worry.

You should be able to track with file number. Make sure you are entering correct information. You might also want to wait for few more days, as ecas update is very inconsistent.

Your time line for sponsorship approval makes me think, why it took one month after they started processing your application to make the decision.

in my ECAS status it says "medical results received"
my sponsorshp apprvd on Nov 30th and it showed MR recieved same day

Do you mean to say "Interview may be waived"
even before the app started to process in ND?

@singhson: Her last name is her father's name and i tried all possibilities, the info I provided earlier was from my UCI and details.

I don't think we can say that for applicants who see "medical results received" right after getting CPC-M approval. I have seen almost (i said almost) all recent cases where they say "medical results received" right away unlike before when it would usually say at the middle/end of process.

But i really wish what you said is true. ;D

I wish the same!! mine appeared just 2 weeks back. But my status still says "application received" . i asked my husband to try emailing them regarding the status, i hope he will do it tomorrow.
