nancync i also got same update. saturday medical line is added to my file too hope its a +ve sign as we both r waiting frm long time so may b they have forwarded our file for final review n b4 tht they made made all the correction.......this is the only +ve thing i cud find

I got the same update when you and Nancync got it, what is that supposed to mean? My husband has submitted his medical when we initially filed the app. so what is the meaning of putting it after 5months of hanging on to the file...i hate this process more and more. hey asked for the passport in august and we havn't seen any update whatsoever, The status says application received and medical received.. what do you think?

Its Xmas season, you can expect long delay in mail (maybe 2-3 weeks, Canada post is very short staffed and busy due to all the gifts and cards) . However, since it was sponsorship approval, you should be able to call CIC and get the info.

You should get your pp within a week or 2 at max. Indian Registered Post is better than Canada post.

i am not in process of name change its the concern about name mismatch between copr and pr card. the name on pr card should match with copr but it did not.

nothing to be concerend about.
which province are you in? each province has their own rules regarding name change. eg my buddy's wife in ontario has the same issue, and they have to wait for a year before doing the name change as per Ontario's rule. Alberta has different rules. so check with your local registry to get more info

its a dumb gap between the two systems. PR card cannot have a blank first name. hence the mismatch
