Ok guys, I am thinking of moving either to Calgary or Vancouver (I wanna go away from Toronto)
I need your guys input based on the following: Housing, Weather, Quality of Life, Entertainment, and most importantly, JOBS!!
I am from Calgary, living here for 2 years. Some of my experiences
- Income: Calgary pays 10%-20% more than other places
- Expenses: Expense is also more
- Taxes: They say AB tax is the lowest
- Job Availability : Survival jobs are plenty compared to other places
-Housing: NE is where Indians are, crime rates are slightly higher there (comparatively)
I live in NW, it is a good place,
Rents range from $450 for a shared accomodation to $1800+util for a house with 3 bedrooms
- Entertainment: People say calgary city is boring, I like it but. But there are lot of places to go around like Banff, Kanaskis, how ever BC is the best
Weather: It is funny! fluctuations and variations are high.
Security: I feel very secure, crime rates are low, you can go out in the night time alone in most parts of the city
Transportation: Calgarians say Transit sucks, I dont mind. But they say Vancopuver has one of the best transits.
Oppurtunities are more in Calgary compared to Toronto or Vancouver. See population statistics from Stat Canada.
