Amen!! it’s been an emotional and stressful journey for some of us and with the increase in processing time we are just devastated. But God's time is the best! we just have to hope and believe!

The wait is killing me. I just applied to GCMS for information on my file in Accra. Fingers crossed and all my hope is in Gods hands.

The wait is really killing. AVO seems to be on holiday. What's happening in Accra? When do we expect to hear from them.

Please when was the processing time changed? Is it for FSW? Most people in Nigeria are receiving their PR visas within 1 year. Has this changed?

Kingsley, not sure what is going on with them. it could be true that some of them are on vacation. processing time for spousal sponsorship changed from 14 months to 23 months since the past couple of months! however, i do believe it is the new processing time for all PR applicants.

It shall be well soon hun! I am also hoping to spend Christmas 2015 with my hubby too. I wish I could have spent his birthday in September with him. but mostly likely not. I also wanted to go to Ghana to see him, but fears we might here from them and then it will be a waste of money spent. They said the application is in queue for review n I should keep my correspondence to a minimum. yea right! that's because they go home to their spouses every night and cant relate to how we feel. chewwwwww

welcome to the thread..... just chill and let God finish the good work He has started...... Just go about other things because if you follow the attitude of Accra VOs it might be brutal.....Just a piece of advice though difficult.......
Everything that has a beginning must surely have an end....... It is just the waiting and we all know it well.....

We don't exactly know what's happening at AVO. I heard from numerous people that processing times change often. I personally believe that too many applications from various places causes the backlog to overflow. It sucks to endure the waiting period. One thing is for sure, all things shall pass very soon.

You all shouldn't worry too much about processing times .. If you have no red flags and your case is straight forward you will hear good news soon.. Just order gcms note every few months to see what an officer is saying about your application so that you can prepare.. my case was under 5 months ..

GCMS stand for Global Case Management System. It is an automated, highly integrated case management tool that agents use at CIC or border servicesin order to add memo and notes to immigration file.
